The Sunnmøre Museum Foundation () is a foundation comprising 12 museums in the Sunnmøre traditional district of the western Norwegian county of Møre og Romsdal. A coxless four, abbreviated as a 4- and also called a straight four, is a racing shell used in the Rowing (sport), sport of competitive rowing. It is designed for four persons who propel the boat with Sweep (rowing), sweep oars, without a coxswain. The crew consists of four rowers, each having one Oar (sport rowing), oar. There are two rowers on the stroke (rowing), stroke side (rower's right hand side) and two on the bow (rowing), bow side (rower's lefthand side). As there is no coxswain, the rudder is controlled by one of the crew, normally with the rudder cable attached to the toe of one of their shoes which can pivot about the ball of the foot, moving the cable left or right. The steersman may row at bow, who has the best vision when looking over their shoulder, or on straighter courses stroke may steer, since they can point the stern of the boat at some landmark at the start of the course. Gjermundnes
Gjermundnes is a hamlet on the east side of the mouth of Tres Fjord in Vestnes Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It lies a short distance to the northeast of the village of Vikebukt. ''Gjermundnes'' is also the name of the peninsula where the hamlet is located. The village includes the historic Gjermundnes Farm and an agricultural school, which is the only agricultural school in Møre og Romsdal county. It is also the location of the Møre og Romsdal Agricultural Museum. Møre Og Romsdal Agricultural Museum
The Møre og Romsdal Agricultural Museum () is part of the Sunnmøre Museum Foundation. It is located in Gjermundnes in Vestnes Municipality. The museum was originally a "large farm" (, in contrast to a small_farm.html" ;"title="small farm">small farm"or ["leased farm"]) and later on an agricultural school. The former Møre og Romsdal, Romsdal County (''Romsdalen amt'') purchased the Gjermundnes Farm 1898. A new facility was built in 1908 to meet the special requirements for the newly established agricultural school. That building had become dilapidated by 1972, and it was decided to demolish it when new construction was completed. However, with financial support from the county executive board, the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage, and the municipality of Vestnes, the old facility was renovated and converted into an agricultural museum. Ytste Skotet
Ytste Skotet is a complete, preserved, historical farm located in Fjord Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The historic farmyard and museum, which is part of the Sunnmøre Museum Foundation, is located on the steep shores of the Storfjorden in the Sunnmøre district of the county. The farm is located across the fjord from the village of Dyrkorn. The ''Storfjordens Venner'' association owns ''Ytste Skotet'' and has orchestrated the restoration of the farm.
