Stéphane Brochu
Stéphane Brochu (born August 15, 1967) is a Canadian former ice hockey defenceman. Biography Brochu was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec. As a youth, he played in the 1979 and 1980 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with a minor ice hockey team from Sherbrooke. Brochu was drafted 175th overall by the New York Rangers in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Quebec Remparts. He played three further seasons in the league for the Saint-Jean Castors before turning pro in the International Hockey League for the Colorado Rangers who later became the Denver Rangers. During the 1988-89 season, Brochu was called up for one game for the New York Rangers. This turned out to be Brochu's only NHL game. After five games with the Flint Spirits, Brochu spent two seasons with the Fort Wayne Komets before returning to Flint in 1991 to suit up for the Flint Bulldogs of the Colonial Hockey League. Sherbrooke
Sherbrooke ( , ) is a city in southern Quebec, Canada. It is at the confluence of the Saint-François River, Saint-François and Magog River, Magog rivers in the heart of the Estrie administrative region. Fort Wayne Komets
The Fort Wayne Komets are a minor league ice hockey team, which currently plays in the ECHL. They play their home games at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In all of North American professional hockey, only the Original Six teams of the NHL and the Hershey Bears of the AHL have played continuously in the same city with the same name longer than the Komets. Adirondack Red Wings
The Adirondack Red Wings were a minor professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League. They played in Glens Falls, New York, United States at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The team was affiliated with the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League. American Hockey League
The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America that serves as the primary developmental league of the National Hockey League (NHL). The league comprises 32 teams, with 26 in the United States and 6 in Canada. As of the 2024–25 AHL season, all 32 NHL teams held affiliations with an AHL team. Detroit Vipers
The Detroit Vipers were a professional ice hockey team that competed in the International Hockey League (IHL). Originally founded in 1969 as the Salt Lake Golden Eagles in Salt Lake City, the team was purchased by Palace Sports & Entertainment and relocated to Auburn Hills, Michigan in 1994. Flint Generals
The Flint Generals were a minor professional ice hockey team based in Flint, Michigan. They were a member of the International Hockey League and played their home games at the Industrial Mutual Association (IMA) Sports Arena. The Generals won two league championships Colonial Cups in the Colonial Hockey League and United Hockey League. Kansas City Blades
The Kansas City Blades were a professional ice hockey team in the International Hockey League (1945–2001), International Hockey League (IHL) from 1990 until 2001, when the league folded.
