Sonja Vasić
Sonja Vasić (; sr-cyr, Соња Петровић Васић, born February 18, 1989) is a Serbian former professional women's basketball player. Standing at , she played at the small forward position. She represented the Serbia women's national basketball team. Playing career Before she came to the WNBA, she played for Crvena zvezda, UB-Barça, Tango Bourges Basket and Spartak Moscow Region. National team career Vasić was a member of the Serbian national basketball team at the EuroBasket 2015 and at EuroBasket 2021 where they won the gold medal, they also qualified for the 2016 Olympics, first in the history for the Serbian team where they won bronze medal. 2009 Mediterranean Games
The 2009 Mediterranean Games, officially the XVI Mediterranean Games ( it, XVI Giochi del Mediterraneo) and commonly known as Pescara 2009, was a multi-sport event held in Pescara, Italy, from 26 June to 5 July 2009. It was governed by the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (ICMG) (french: Comité international des Jeux méditerranéens). The Mediterranean Games is a multi-sport event organised by the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (CIJM). The 2021 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2021, was the 38th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. It was co-hosted by France and Spain between 17 and 27 June 2021. It was the third time to be hosted by multiple countries. The 2015 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2015, was the 35th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. EuroBasket Women is a biennial international women's basketball competition held between the nations of FIBA Europe for women's national teams. EuroBasket Women is also used as a qualifying tournament for the FIBA Women's World Cup and also the Olympic Games.
