''Slavné historky zbojnické'' (Famous Bandit Stories) is a Czechoslovak adventure historical television series filmed in 1985. Six 59 minute episodes were filmed. The series was directed by Hynek Bočan. Every episode tells a story of famous bandit. It shows harsh reality of bandit life. Every episode started with the narrator introducing the main character's personality to the audience. Hynek Bočan
Hynek Bočan (born 29 April 1938) is a Czechs, Czech film director and screenwriter. His major works include the TV series ''The Land Gone Wild'' and the fairy tale film ''Give the Devil His Due''. He has received several awards for his lifetime contribution to Czech cinematography. Life Hynek Bočan was born on 29 April 1938 in Prague. He grew up in the Libeň district of Prague. His father, a lawyer, died when he was twelve. In 1953, he got a small role in Jiří Sequens' film ''Olověný chléb''. This experience showed him that he did not want to be an actor, but wanted to succeed in film as a director or cinematographer. In 1956, he started to study film directing at Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. At a casting for his first film in 1965, he met his wife Jana, with whom he remained his entire life. They have a son, Jan. Sándor Rózsa (July 10, 1813 – November 22, 1878) was a Hungarian outlaw (in Hungarian: ''betyár'') from the Great Hungarian Plain. He is the best-known Hungarian highwayman; his life inspired numerous writers, notably Zsigmond Móricz and Gyula Krúdy. After his death, his life was romanticized in fiction due to his role in the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. Rózsa, like Jóska Sobri, is one of the most famous Hungarian betyárs (bandits). Biography Rózsa was born on July 10, 1813 to his mother Erzsébet (Elisabeth) Kántor and father András (Andrew) Rózsa. Schinderhannes
Johannes Bückler ( 177821 November 1803; ) was a German outlaw who orchestrated one of the most famous crime sprees in German history. He has been nicknamed Schinderhannes and Schinnerhannes () in German and John the Scorcher, John the Flayer and the Robber of the Rhine in English. He was born at Miehlen, the son of Johann and Anna Maria Bückler. He began an apprenticeship to a tanner but turned to petty theft. At 16 he was arrested for stealing some of the skins, but he escaped detention. He then turned to break-ins and armed robbery on both sides of the Rhine, which was the border between France and the Holy Roman Empire. The legend of Schinderhannes truly emerged from his escape from a prison tower in Simmern, a market town in the Hunsrück region of the Rhineland.
