Skipsfjorden, Dønna
Skipsfjorden is an arm of the Stifjorden in Dønna Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The long fjord (more accurately it is a strait) lies between the island of Dønna on the west and the island of Løkta in the east. At it northern end, it flows between Vardhaugneset on the island of Dønna and Jordfastholmen on the island of Løkta. The village of Glein on Donna is on the western side of the fjord. At its southern end, it passes between Gullsneset on the west and Koppardal on the east. Dønna is a municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the Helgeland region. The administrative centre of the island municipality is the village of Solfjellsjøen. Strait
A strait is a water body connecting two seas or water basins. Dønna (island)
Dønna is the largest island in Dønna Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The island lies off the west coast of the mainland of Helgeland, Norway. The islands of Løkta and Tomma lie northeast of the island, the islands of Vandve and Åsværet lie to the west, and the islands of Herøy Municipality (Nordland), Herøy and Alsta lie to the south. The island is the main island of the municipality where most of the municipal residents live. In 2017, there were about 1,235 residents on the island. The northern and central parts of the island are low and relatively flat, partly marshy which nice coastal beaches. The southern part of Dønna is mountainous with several steep and bare mountains. Løkta
Løkta is an island in Dønna Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The island is located between the islands of Dønna and Hugla, at the entrance to the Ranfjorden. The village of Sandåker is located on the southern part of the island, just west of the tall Sandåkerfjellet. Løkta Church is located on the island. Historically, the western part of the island was a part of the old Dønnes Municipality and the eastern part belonged to Nesna Municipality, but in 1962 all of the island became a part of Dønna Municipality.
