Bjørn is a village in Dønna Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located on the east coast of the island of Dønna, about northeast of the village of Hestad. The village has a regular ferry connection to the nearby island of Lokta and to the mainland town of Sandnessjøen. The village is the junction of the Norwegian County Road 828 and Norwegian County Road 809. History In 1754, a royal decree was made to grant Bjørn permission to hold an annual market, called the . County Road 828 () is a road in Nordland County, Norway. It is also locally named ''Hæstadveien'' (Hæstad Road), ''Seløyveien'' (Seløy Road), ''Brunsvikveien'' (Brunsvik Road), ''Nord-Herøyveien'' (North Herøy Road), ''Sør-Herøyveien'' (South Herøy Road), ''Fagervikveien'' (Fagervik Road), and ''Flostadveien'' (Flostad Road). Dønna (island)
Dønna is the largest island in Dønna Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The island lies off the west coast of the mainland of Helgeland, Norway. The islands of Løkta and Tomma lie northeast of the island, the islands of Vandve and Åsværet lie to the west, and the islands of Herøy Municipality (Nordland), Herøy and Alsta lie to the south. The island is the main island of the municipality where most of the municipal residents live. In 2017, there were about 1,235 residents on the island.
