Show And Tell (The Birthday Massacre Album)
''Show and Tell'' is the first live album by the Canadian band, The Birthday Massacre. It was recorded at Knust music club in Hamburg, Germany in Autumn 2007, and the album was released during Spring 2009. A DVD portion was released later in Europe (2009) and North America (2010). Track listing DVD A Show and Tell DVD was released in Europe on October 2, 2009 and in North America on February 9, 2010. This DVD is an entire live performance from the band's European ''Walking With Strangers'' tour in 2007. It was shot in Hamburg, Germany. In addition, the DVD contains footage of the band performing on the German festival ''M'era Luna'' in 2005 and 2006. The Birthday Massacre
The Birthday Massacre (abbreviated TBM) is a Canadian rock band , formed in 1999 in London, Ontario, and currently based in Toronto, Ontario. The current lineup consists of lead vocalist Sara 'Chibi' Taylor, rhythm guitarist Michael Rainbow, lead guitarist Michael Falcore, keyboardist Owen Mackinder, drummer Philip Elliott, and bassist Brett Carruthers. When the band formed in 1999, they were known as 'Imagica'. This name was inspired by the 1991 fantasy novel '' Imajica'' by Clive Barker. In 2002, they changed the name to The Birthday Massacre after one of their earlier songs in order to avoid confusion with another group. The song ''The Birthday Massacre'' was then renamed ''Happy Birthday''. According to their vocalist Chibi: "it kind of works well for the music that we're making. Sort of contrasty, you know? "Looking Glass" is a single/ EP by Canadian electronic rock band The Birthday Massacre. Unlike their previous single, "Red Stars", the ''Looking Glass EP'' is a physical release rather than a digital download available through iTunes. It is the second single released for their second full-length album ''Walking With Strangers''. This is also the fourth song to have a music video. As well as including the title track, the EP includes remixes of "Red Stars", "Weekend", and "Falling Down" from the album ''Walking with Strangers''. There are also two new songs: "I Think We're Alone Now", originally recorded by Tommy James and the Shondells but popularized by Tiffany in the late 1980s, and "Shiver". In addition, the EP includes the ambient track "Nowhere" which is a re-recording of "The Night Loop" (which was the background music to the band's website).
