Senait Ashenafi (born March 10, 1966 in Addis Ababa) is an Ethiopian-born actress in the United States who played Keesha Ward in '' General Hospital'' from 1994 to 1998. Senait was nominated for a NAACP Image Award for "Outstanding Actress In A Daytime Drama Series" at the 29th NAAC Image Awards in 1998. Senait was featured in the bestselling book "Success Strategies for African-Americans - A Guide to Creating Personal and Professional Achievements" by Beatrice Nivens. Senait has worked as a dancer, singer, and model. She is the daughter of the Ethiopian composer and ethnomusicologist Ashenafi Kebede and the sister of Nina Ashenafi Richardson, a judge in Florida. Senait Fisseha
Senait Fisseha (born 1971) is an Ethiopian endocrinologist at University of Michigan working with reproductive endocrinology and infertility and director of international programs at the Susan Buffet Foundation. Fisseha has a J.D. degree and is known for her work as an advocate for global reproductive health, rights and gender equality. She is the founder of the Center for International Reproductive Health Training (CIRHT) at the University of Michigan. She chaired the election campaign of Tedros Adhanom, the first African Director General of the World Health Organization, in 2016-17. Senait Ghebrehiwet Mehari is an Eritrean-born German singer. She goes professionally by her single name "Senait". She is also known as Senait Mehari, although this is a common understanding and is due to the Europeanization of an Eritrean naming convention. Biography She was born in Asmera, Eritrea, on 3 December 1974 (exact year is unknown, it may be some years earlier or later) to an Eritrean father and Ethiopian mother. When she was six years old, her father sent her and her two elder half-sisters to the Eritrean Liberation Front as "Students of the Revolution". Three years later her uncle took the three girls to Sudan, where they lived with him for three years. When Senait was twelve years old, her father, who emigrated to Hamburg, Germany, sent for them writing songs around this time.
