Senait Ashenafi (born March 10, 1966, in Addis Ababa) is an Ethiopian-born actress in the United States who played Keesha Ward in ''General Hospital'' from 1994 to 1998. Senait was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for "Outstanding Actress In A Daytime Drama Series" at the 29th NAAC Image Awards in 1998. Senait was featured in the bestselling book "Success Strategies for African-Americans - A Guide to Creating Personal and Professional Achievements" by Beatrice Nivens. Senait Fisseha (Amharic: ሰናይት ፍሰሃ) is an Ethiopian-American physician, lawyer and obstetrician-gynecologist. She specialized in endocrinology at the University of Michigan and received her Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University. She is currently Vice-President of International Programs at the Susan Thompson Buffet Foundation. She became an advocate for global equity, working with African leaders and institutions during the Covid-19 pandemic. Senait Mehari is an Ethiopian-born German writer and singer. She goes professionally by her single name "Senait" as well. Biography She was born in Asmera in the Province of Eritrea in Ethiopia on 3 December 1974 (exact year is unknown, it may be some years earlier or later) to an Eritrean father and Ethiopian mother. When she was six years old, her father sent her and her two elder half-sisters to the Eritrean Liberation Front as "Students of the Revolution". Three years later her uncle took the three girls to Sudan, where they lived with him for three years. When Senait was twelve years old, her father, who emigrated to Hamburg, Germany, sent for them writing songs around this time.
