Sebastian Steyer
Sebastian Steyer (born 18 February 1980) is a Polish professional darts player, entrepreneur and former footballer who played as a defender in local football club. Currently plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) and occasionally in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He reached a semi-finals at the 2019 BDO World Trophy. Career Steyer started playing darts in 2000. At first he treated it as entertainment, and over time he began to succeed in more serious tournaments. After five years, however, due to business matters, he had a long over 10-years hiatus from playing and returned in 2017 with some national success. He tried to play football as a defender in local football club Chemik Kędzierzyn-Koźle, but injuries of knee thwarted his plans. He won with his team Opole Region Championship. PDC World Darts Championship
The PDC World Darts Championship, known for sponsorship purposes as the Cazoo World Darts Championship, organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), is a World Professional Darts Championship held annually in the sport of darts. The PDC championship begins in December and ends in January and is held at Alexandra Palace in London and has been held there since 2008. It is the most prestigious of the PDC's tournaments, with the winner receiving the Sid Waddell Trophy, named in honour of the darts commentator Sid Waddell, who died in 2012. 2019 Czech Darts Open
The 2019 Czech Darts Open was the ninth of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2019 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at the PVA Expo Praha, Prague, Czech Republic, from 28–30 June 2019. It featured a field of 48 players and £140,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Jamie Hughes won his first PDC title with an 8–3 win over Stephen Bunting in the final. Gerwyn Price hit the fourth nine-dart finish of the 2019 European Tour to beat Glen Durrant 6–4 in the second round. It was also the first of Price's career. The tournament saw a new European tour record for the most seeded players losing their first match as 11 of 16 players including Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright lost in the second round. Toon Greebe
Toon Greebe (born 25 September 1988 in Den Bosch) is a Dutch darts player. Career Greebe reached the quarter finals of the 2007 Dutch Open. He beat Spain's Carlos Rodriguez in the last 32 stage and then defeated Stephen Bunting in the last 16, eventually losing to fellow Dutchman Edwin Max. Greebe then began playing in PDC tournaments, reaching the third round of the 2007 US Open, losing 3-1 in sets to Phil Taylor. Thibault Tricole
Thibault Tricole (born 11 October 1989) is a French professional darts player who currently plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is a first French player to advance to final of the World Darts Championship and most successful darts player to come from France. Career Since 2010, Tricole has occasionally competed in British Darts Organisation and World Darts Federation tournaments, including several times at the Winmau World Masters, but without any notable success. World Darts Championship
The World Professional Darts Championship is one of the most important tournaments in the darts calendar. Originally held as an annual event between 1978 and 1993, players then broke off into two separate organisations after a controversial split in the game. Each organisation, the British Darts Organisation (BDO) and the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) then arranged their own World Championships, the former in January the latter in December. As a result, there was no longer was an unified world champion in the sport for nearly three decades. The BDO version dated back to 1978, when it was held at the Heart of the Midlands nightclub, Nottingham. The following year it moved to the Jollees Cabaret Club, Stoke, where it stayed until 1985. PDC Tour Card
The PDC Pro Tour is a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). They comprise Professional Dart Players Association (PDPA) Players Championships and European Tour events. Only four players have gone on to win at least 30 titles on the PDC Pro Tour. Michael van Gerwen has won the most Pro Tour titles winning 84.
