Paige Cognetti
Paige Gebhardt Cognetti (born 1979/1980) is an American politician serving as the mayor of Scranton, Pennsylvania. She is the first woman to be mayor of the city and won her seat in a special election. A member of the Democratic Party, she ran her first Scranton mayoral campaign as an Independent. Early life and education Cognetti was born in Eugene, Oregon. She graduated ''summa cum laude'' from the Robert D. Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon with a BA in English Literature and Romance Languages, and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Everhart Museum
The Everhart Museum of Natural History, Science & Art is a non-profit art and natural history museum located in Nay Aug Park in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Scranton, Pennsylvania, United States. It was founded in 1908 by Dr. Isaiah Fawkes Everhart, a local medical doctor and skilled taxidermist. Many of the specimens in the museum's extensive ornithological collection came from Dr. Everhart's personal collection. Scranton Iron Furnaces
The Scranton Iron Furnaces is an historic, American manufacturing site located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The site preserves Pennsylvania's rich iron making history in Pennsylvania. It is near the Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton. The site has been managed by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission since 1971 and is part of the Pennsylvania Anthracite Heritage Museum complex. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991, as the Lackawanna Iron and Coal Company Furnace.
