Margarete Schön (born Margarethe Schippang; 7 April 1895 – 26 December 1985) was a Germans, German stage and film actress whose career spanned nearly fifty years. She is internationally recognized for her role as Kriemhild in director Fritz Lang's ''Die Nibelungen'' series of two silent film, silent fantasy films, ''Die Nibelungen: Siegfried'' and ''Nibelungen: Kriemhild's Revenge''. Stage career Born in Magdeburg, German Empire, Germany as Margarethe Schippang, she received private acting lessons with the theatre actor Hans Calm in Dessau. Wilhelm Von Schoen
Wilhelm Eduard Freiherr von Schoen (Schön) (3 June 1851 – 24 April 1933) was a German diplomat. He was especially known as German ambassador in Paris at the beginning of World War I and as State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of the German Empire. As one of Germany's leading diplomats he was appointed as Ambassador to France. He recommended for any ultimatum to Serbia to be supported in Vienna by the 'localization' of any possible conflict in the Balkans. Germany was determined to maintain the Teutonic alliance of the Central Powers at all costs and did not want an all out war. The assurance that Britain would stand by Russia and France, however, lent real fear to German foreign policy that Russian policy in the Balkans would immediately force to aid Serbia. Theodor Von Schön
Heinrich Theodor von Schön (20 January 1773 – 23 July 1856) was a Prussian statesman who assisted in the liberal reforms in Prussia during the Napoleonic Wars. Biography Schön was born in Schreitlauken, Tilsit district, East Prussia (now Šereitlaukis, Pagėgiai Municipality, Lithuania). He studied law and political science at the University of Königsberg. In 1793, he entered the Prussian government service and was rapidly promoted, serving as governor. After the Peace of Tilsit, he rendered assistance in carrying out the reforms of Baron vom Stein and Karl August von Hardenberg, and to him is attributed the authorship of the ''Politisches Testament'', which Stein issued upon his retirement from office. In addition, Schön's memorandum on the abolition of serfdom was the basis of the law of emancipation. Richard Melvin Schoen (born October 23, 1950) is an American mathematician known for his work in differential geometry and geometric analysis. He is best known for the resolution of the Yamabe problem in 1984 and his works on harmonic maps. Early life and education Schoen was born in Celina, Ohio, on October 23, 1950. In 1968, he graduated from Fort Recovery High School. He received his B.S. from the University of Dayton in mathematics. Otto Schön
Otto Schön (9 August 1905 – 15 September 1968) was a German resistance fighter against National Socialism, politician and party functionary of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) and Socialist Unity Party (SED). Schön began his political career during the Weimar Republic as a regional party functionary of the KPD in Saxony. After the Nazis rose to power, he was arrested and detained in Nazi concentration camps until 1937. He served in the German resistance in Leipzig after a brief service in the Wehrmacht. He rose through the ranks of the Socialist Unity Party in East Germany, eventually serving on the powerful Secretariat of the Central Committee as Secretary responsible for the Leading Organs of the Party and Mass Organizations Department. Neal Joseph Schon (born February 27, 1954) is an American musician and songwriter, best known as the co-founder and lead guitarist for the rock band Journey. He is the last original member to remain throughout the group's history. He was a member of the rock band Santana before forming Journey. Nancy Schön (born 1928) is an American sculptor whose work is displayed internationally in museums, libraries, universities, private collections, and public outdoor spaces. She is best known for her work titled ''Make Way for Ducklings'', installed in 1987 in the Boston Public Garden. The sculpture is an homage to the journey of a family of ducks traveling through Boston immortalized in Robert McCloskey's 1941 children's classic ''Make Way for Ducklings''.
