Sandpoint High School
Sandpoint High School is a four-year public secondary school in the northwest United States, located in Sandpoint, Idaho. It is the larger of the two high schools in the Lake Pend Oreille School District; the other is Clark Fork in Class 1A. The SHS school colors are red and white and the mascot is a bulldog. Athletics Sandpoint competes in IHSAA Class 4A, the second-highest classification in the state. It is a member of the Inland Empire League (4A), along with Lakeland (in nearby Rathdrum) and Moscow, south. SHS formerly had rivalries with Coeur d'Alene and Lewiston; both are in IEL 5A. North Idaho College
North Idaho College (NIC) is a public community college in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. It has an enrollment of approximately 3,900 undergraduate students. Its main campus is situated at the north end of Lake Coeur d'Alene near downtown Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Tubbs Hill, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, at the east bank of the outflowing Spokane River. Centennial High School is a four-year public secondary school in Boise, Idaho. Although located in Boise, it is part of the West Ada School District; at the time of its construction, CHS was in unincorporated Ada County. The West Ada district's second of six traditional high schools, Centennial opened in 1987 and serves neighborhoods in northwestern Boise and northeastern Meridian. The Academic Decathlon (also called AcDec, AcaDeca or AcaDec) is an annual Student competition, high school academic competition organized by the non-profit United States Academic Decathlon (USAD). The competition consists of seven objective multiple choice tests, two subjective performance events, and an essay. Academic Decathlon was created by Robert Peterson in 1968 for local schools in Orange County, California, and was expanded nationally in 1981 by Robert Peterson, William Patton, first President of the new USAD Board; and Phillip Bardos, Chairman of the new USAD Board. Lewiston High School (Idaho)
Lewiston High School is a four-year public secondary school in Lewiston, Idaho, the only traditional high school in the Lewiston School District. This is only a recent development though, the change being implemented in 2020-21 school year. The school colors of LHS are purple and gold and the mascot is Joe Bengal. After 92 years of service, the 1928 building (1114 Ninth Avenue) closed in 2020, and the new campus is approximately southeast. Athletics Lewiston competes in IHSAA Class 5A with the largest schools in the state, and its conference is the Inland Empire League (5A) with Coeur d'Alene, Lake City, and Post Falls; all about two hours north in Kootenai County. Lewiston has long-term rivalries with adjacent Clarkston and also with Moscow, about north on the adjoining Palouse. Coeur d’Alene High School is a four-year public secondary school in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, the oldest secondary school (founded 1903), with its current building at 5530 North Fourth Street built in 1968-1969. It is one of the two traditional high schools in the Coeur d'Alene School District #271.
