Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska is a former village in Madawaska County, New Brunswick, Canada. It held village status prior to 2023 and is now part of the town of Vallée-des-Rivières. Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska is located on the Saint John River, 30 kilometres southeast of Edmundston. Forestry is the major industry in the area. History On 1 January 2023, Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska amalgamated with the town of Saint-Léonard and parts of four local service districts to form the new town of Vallée-des-Rivières. The community's name remains in official use. 2021 Canadian Census
The 2021 Canadian census was a detailed enumeration of the Canadian population with a reference date of May 11, 2021. It follows the 2016 Canadian census, which recorded a population of 35,151,728. The overall response rate was 98%, which is slightly lower than the response rate for the 2016 census. It recorded a population of 36,991,981, a 5.2% increase from 2016. Planning Consultation on census program content was from September 11 to December 8, 2017.
