STEGAL
STEGAL (''Sachsen-Thüringen-Erdgas-Anbindungsleitung'') is a natural gas pipeline in Saxony and Thuringia, Germany. It connects the Czech Transgas pipeline at Olbernhau and the JAGAL pipeline (exporting gas from the Yamal–Europe pipeline) at Rückersdorf with the MIDAL pipeline at Reckrod. The pipeline is used for the Russian gas import. The length of STEGAL is and the diameter of pipe is . It is operated by Wingas GmbH & Co. KG. Construction of the STEGAL pipeline started in 1991 and the pipeline was completed in 1992. In 1999, the JAGAL pipeline was connected with STEGAL at Rückersdorf. In March 2006, the long STEGAL Loop, parallel to the main pipeline, was commissioned. Due to increasing demand, the STEGAL ring line was built and put into operation in 2005/2006. MIDAL (''Mitte-Deutschland-Anbindungsleitung'') is a long German natural gas pipeline, which connects the North Sea with southern Germany. It runs from Bunde, where it is connected with Netherlands gas system, and Emdel receiving terminal, to Ludwigshafen. The pipeline has a capacity of 12.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. It was constructed in 1992–1993, and it is owned and operated by Wingas GmbH & Co. KG. The northern section of the pipeline which runs from Bunde and Rysum to Rehden is long and has a diameter of . JAGAL
JAGAL (''Jamal-Gas-Anbindungsleitung'') is a German section of the Yamal-Europe pipeline. The pipeline is used for the Russian natural gas import and it is owned and operated by Gascade Gastransport GmbH. It runs from the Polish–German border at Lebus near Frankfurt (Oder) to Rückersdorf. In Rückersdorf JAGAL is connected with STEGAL pipeline carrying gas further west. In Bernau JAGAL is connected with the Verbundnetz Gas AG-operated long-distance gas pipeline No. 302. WEDAL
WEDAL (''Westdeutschland-Anbindungsleitung'') is a long German natural gas pipeline, which connects the MIDAL pipeline with the Belgian natural gas grid. WEDAL branches off the MIDAL pipeline in Bad Salzuflen. From there the pipeline runs to Soest and further across North Rhine-Westphalia to the connection at the Belgian border near Aachen.
