Rômulo (footballer, Born 1982)
Rômulo Marques Antoneli or simply Rômulo (born 25 February 1982) is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Career Rômulo was born in Inhaúmas-GO, Brazil. After weeks of speculation, where it was thought that he might even go to Deportivo de La Coruña, Cruzeiro produced a bid twice as high as Grêmio's for the player. He did eventually move to Cruzeiro, but Cruzeiro later loaned him out to Beitar Jerusalem in August 2007 for one year. Rômulo joined the French Ligue 2 club RC Strasbourg on a six-month loan from Cruzeiro, on 8 September 2009 Coritiba signed the forward on loan from Cruzeiro until December 2009. When the loan ended, he was transferred to Atlas of Mexico. After spending six months in Mexico, he returned to his home country Brazil and joined Guarani. The 2007–08 Israel State Cup (, ''Gvia HaMedina'') was the 69th season of Israel's nationwide football cup competition and the 54th after the Israeli Declaration of Independence. The Israel State Cup (, ''Gvia HaMedina''), is a knockout cup competition in Israeli football, run by the Israel Football Association (IFA). The State Cup was first held in 1928 as the People's Cup. Because it involves clubs of all standards playing against each other, there is the possibility for " minnows" from the lower divisions to become "giant-killers" by eliminating top clubs from the tournament, although lower division teams rarely reach the final. The last below the top-flight club to make the final was Maccabi Netanya in 2014, they have since been promoted to the Israeli Premier League. The Israeli Premier League (, Ligat HaAl, ) is a professional association football league in Israel and the highest level of the Israeli football league system. The league is contested by 14 clubs, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with its second division Liga Leumit. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing between 33 and 36 matches each, totalling 240 matches in every season. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, commonly known as the Série C or the Brazilian Série C to distinguish it from the Italian Serie C, is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances.
