Régua Railway Station
The Régua railway station previously known as ''Portuguese Orthographic Reform of 1911, Regoa railway station'', is a station on the Linha do Douro, Douro Line, which serves the town of Peso da Régua, in the Vila Real District, District of Vila Real, in Portugal. It opened in 1879, and served as a junction point with the Linha do Corgo, Corgo Line, which operated between 1906 and 2009. Overall information Location and access The station is located in the town of Peso da Régua, with access by the Largo da estação (Square of the station). Design By January 2011, the station had a total of four lanes, measuring 379, 438, 350 and 319 m long, the platforms are 255 and 216 m wide, and 35 cm high. Since October 2004, diesel fueling maneuvers can be carried out, and the station also has a public information system. Vila Real Railway Station
The Vila Real railway station is a closed interface of the Corgo line, which used to serve the city of Vila Real, in Portugal. It was inaugurated on 12 May 1906, and closed on 25 March 2009. Description The station includes the passenger building, the railway track area and some technical support buildings, such as a covered warehouse, workshops and rolling stock depots. The passenger building has a rectangular plan made up of three bodies, arranged parallel and regularly to the line, the central one slightly higher and with two floors and the lateral ones with just one. Staggered volumes with differentiated roofs with hipped roofs on the central body and gable roofs on the sides, with ridges crowned by intersecting metal railings, painted green, and with raised chimneys on the central body and on the left side.
