Roald Åsmund Bye
Roald Åsmund Bye (7 November 1928 in Malvik Municipality – 15 April 2003) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Sør-Trøndelag in 1969, and was re-elected on two occasions. He had previously served as a deputy representative during the terms 1954–1957, 1958–1961, 1961–1965 and 1965–1969. Malvik is a List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Trøndelag Counties of Norway, county, Norway. It is part of the Trondheim Region. The Storting ( ; ) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. Sør-Trøndelag (; ) is one of the 19 multi-member constituencies of the Storting, the national legislature of Norway. The constituency was established in 1921 following the introduction of proportional representation for elections to the Storting. Sør-Trøndelag (; ) was a county comprising the southern portion of the present-day Trøndelag county in Norway. It bordered the old Nord-Trøndelag () county as well as the counties of Møre og Romsdal, Oppland, and Hedmark. To the west is the Norwegian Sea (Atlantic Ocean), and to the east is Jämtland in Sweden. The county was separated into a northern and southern part by the Trondheimsfjorden.
