Storting
The Storting ( ; ) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The Unicameralism, unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen Voting systems#Multiple-winner methods, multi-seat constituencies. A member of the Storting is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". The assembly is led by a president and, since 2009, five vice presidents: the presidium. The members are allocated to twelve standing committees as well as four procedural committees. Masud Gharahkhani (; born 22 September 1982) is a Norwegian politician from the Labour Party (Norway), Labour Party, who has been serving as the President of the Storting since 2021, and as a member of the Storting for Buskerud (Storting constituency), Buskerud since 2017. The Socialist Left Party (, SV; ) is a democratic socialist political party in Norway. 2021 Norwegian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Norway on 13 September 2021. All 169 seats in the Norwegian legislature, the Storting, were up for election. The election was won by a coalition consisting of the social-democratic Labour Party and the agrarian Centre Party that entered into negotiations to form a government. The election also resulted in a majority for the parties that seek to dissolve the unpopular and controversial Viken county. Jonas Gahr Støre's Labour Party retained its position as Norway's largest party and expanded their lead in seats over the Conservatives, despite a slight drop in its share of votes and the loss of one seat. Svein Harberg
Svein Harberg (born 30 July 1958) is a Norwegian businessman and politician for the Conservative Party. He has served as a member of Parliament for Aust-Agder since 2009, and the Storting's first Vice President since 2021. He was also mayor of Grimstad from 2003 to 2007. Christian Tybring-Gjedde (born 8 August 1963) is a Norwegian politician who represented the Progress Party until 2024. Patient Focus (Norway)
Patient Focus (, PF) is a minor political party in Norway. It was formed in April 2021, as a support movement for an expansion of the hospital in the town of Alta in Alta Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. In the 2021 parliamentary election, it won one of Finnmark's five seats in the Storting. The party's leader, Irene Ojala, holds the seat.
