The 2008–09 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, also known as NB I, was the 107th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''Soproni Liga'' for sponsoring reasons. The season started on 25 July 2008 with Kaposvári Rákóczi FC beating the defending champions MTK Budapest by 3–1. The last games were played on 30 May 2009. Promotion and relegation FC Sopron withdrew their participation in the winter break of last year's season after they declared bankruptcy. The team was put into last place and got all points deducted. The remaining relegation spot was earned by FC Tatabánya, who finished the season with a mere 10 points. Promotion to the league was granted to the champions of the two NB II divisions. The 2017–18 Nemzeti Bajnokság III is Hungary's third-level Association football, football competition. On 20 June 2017, the play-offs finished and the full tables were formed. On 26 June 2017, it was announced that the Hungarian Football Federation did not accept the of Szigetszentmiklósi TK. On 12 July 2017, the Hungarian Football Federation issued the three groups of the 2017–18 season. On 28 March 2018, the Somos SE, STC Salgótarján announced its withdrawal from the 2017–18 Nemzeti Bajnokság III season. The results for Somos SE, STC Salgótarján were deleted for the entire season due to their withdrawal. Zalaegerszeg and Vasas finished the 2011–12 season in the bottom two places of the table and thus were relegated to their respective NB II divisions. Vasas ended an 8-year stay in the top league. Zalaegerszeg ended an 18-year stay in the top league. The two relegated teams were replaced with the champions of the two 2011–12 NB II groups, Eger of the East Group and MTK of the West Group. The 2014–15 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, also known as NB I, was the 113th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league is officially named ''OTP Bank Liga'' for sponsorship reasons. The season began 26 July 2014 and concluded on 1 June 2015. Debreceni VSC, Debrecen are the defending champions having won their seventh Hungarian championship last season. For the first time at a Nemzeti Bajnokság I, Nemzeti Bajnokság I seasons, match officials used vanishing foam for Direct free kick, free kicks. In the Groupama Aréna (Ferencvárosi TC, FTC) the goal-line technology was used. Videoton FC, Videoton won the league for the second time, under Joan Carillo, finishing 7 points above Ferencváros. The red and blues won all of their first ten league fixtures, and only suffered one defeat at home throughout the season, against defending champions DVSC. The season began 26 July 2013 and concluded on 1 June 2014. Győr were the defending champions, having won their fourth Hungarian championship the previous season. Overview The season was contested by 16 teams, and concluded with Debreceni VSC winning their seventh national title, and their second under Elemér Kondás. DVSC suffered two defeats early on in the season, and found themselves 4 points behind Videoton FC by matchday 10, however, they managed to overtake their Western rivals, and went into the winter break with a 4 point lead over Videoton, and were undefeated between September and April.
