Reversal (wrestling)
Collegiate wrestling, commonly referred to as folkstyle wrestling, is the form of amateur wrestling, wrestling practiced at the Tertiary education, post-secondary level in the United States. This style of wrestling is also practiced at the Secondary school, high school, middle school, and Elementary schools in the United States, elementary levels with Scholastic wrestling, some modifications. The rules and style of collegiate/folkstyle wrestling differ from the Olympic wrestling, Olympic styles of Freestyle wrestling, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. There are collegiate wrestling programs in almost all U.S. states, and one Simon Fraser Red Leafs#Wrestling, university in Canada. Women's wrestling at the U.S. college level uses two different rulesets. Freestyle wrestling is a style of wrestling. It is one of two styles of wrestling contested in the Olympic Games, along with Greco-Roman wrestling, Greco-Roman. scholastic wrestling, High school wrestling and men's collegiate wrestling in the United States are conducted under different rules and termed scholastic wrestling, scholastic and collegiate wrestling. Daniel Jeffery Henderson (born August 24, 1970) is an American former mixed martial artist and Olympic wrestler, who last competed as a Middleweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He was the last Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion and was the last Welterweight and Middleweight champion of Pride Fighting Championships. He was the only double champion in the history of Pride FC. Cliff Keen
Clifford Patrick Keen (June 13, 1901 – November 4, 1991) was an American coach who served as the head coach of the University of Michigan collegiate wrestling team from 1925 to 1970. He led the Michigan Wolverines to 13 Big Ten Conference championships, and coached 68 All-American wrestlers. In 1976, he was inducted into the inaugural class of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum, National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Member. Cary Kolat
Cary Joseph Kolat (born May 19, 1973) is an American wrestler and wrestling coach who earned two NCAA championships in 1996 and 1997 for Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and was a member of the United States Men's Freestyle Wrestling Team from 1997–2001. During that time he won silver and bronze medals at the 1997 Krasnoyarsk and 1998 Tehran FILA Wrestling World Championships, as well as competing for the United States in freestyle wrestling at the 2000 Summer Olympics. In 2017, Kolat was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Member. Kolat is currently the head wrestling coach at United States Naval Academy. Danny Mack Gable (born October 25, 1948) is an American former folkstyle and freestyle wrestler and coach. Considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, Gable is a two-time NCAA Division I national champion, a World gold medalist, and an Olympic gold medalist. Gable was only the third wrestler to be inducted into the United World Wrestling's Hall of Fame in the Legend category. In 2014, Gable was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame and awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2020. Early life Gable was born and grew up in Waterloo, Iowa. Joe Williams (wrestler)
Joe Williams (born November 26, 1974) is an American former freestyle wrestler, who competed in the men's middleweight category. He won ten U.S. national, three consecutive NCAA (1996–1998) and two Pan American Games titles (1999 and 2003), scored two bronze medals in the 74 and 76-kg division at the World Championships (2001 and 2005), and finished fifth at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Brandon Slay
Brandon Douglas Slay (born October 14, 1975) is an American former freestyle wrestler. He won an Olympic gold medal for the United States in wrestling at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Slay also helped found Dallas Dynamite wrestling club in Dallas, Texas. Vladimir Vladimirovich Matyushenko (born 4 January 1971) is a Belarusian retired mixed martial artist. Leroy Kemp
Leroy (Lee) P. Kemp, Jr. (born Darnell Freeman; December 24, 1956) is an American former freestyle and folkstyle wrestler. Kemp would achieve success at the high school, collegiate, and international levels. Kemp started wrestling in only the 9th grade at Chardon High School, in Chardon, Ohio and by the end of his high school career had compiled two undefeated seasons, while winning two Ohio state titles. His first state title included wins over the defending state champion and the previous years' state runner-up. Anthony Robles (born July 15, 1988) is an American wrestler who won the 2011 NCAA individual wrestling national championship in the 125-pound weight class, despite being born with only one leg. He is the author of the book ''Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion'' (Gotham Books), which was published in September 2012. Greg Jones (born August 10, 1982) is an American former collegiate wrestler. At West Virginia University, Jones won three NCAA Division 1 wrestling titles. Shortly after his 5-3 decision of Cornell's Tyler Baier in the 184 pound finals, Jones was named the 2005 tournament's Most Outstanding Wrestler. In addition to his title in 2005, Jones won the 184 pound title in 2004 and the 174 pound title as a freshman in 2002.
