Dan Henderson
Daniel Jeffery Henderson (born August 24, 1970) is an American former mixed martial artist and Olympic wrestler, who last competed as a Middleweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He was the last Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion and was the last Welterweight and Middleweight champion of Pride Fighting Championships. He was the only double champion in the history of Pride FC. Henderson was the Brazil Open '97 Tournament Champion, the UFC 17 Middleweight Tournament Champion, the Rings: King of Kings 1999 Tournament Champion and the Pride Welterweight Grand Prix Tournament Champion. Henderson also challenged for the UFC Middleweight Championship (2x), the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship and the Strikeforce Middleweight Championship. Bob Anderson (born 1943) is an American former wrestler and coach. Anderson was born in Oakland, California and raised in Redondo Beach, California. Early life Anderson attended South High School in Torrance, California, where he placed 3rd his junior year, and finished as a California state champion his senior year. College In college, Anderson first attended El Camino College, where he won CCCAA states as a sophomore and had a record-breaking 1 loss the whole season. He ended up transferring to Adams State College, where became a two-time NAIA All-American, and was a Rocky Mountain Champion. Anderson was also an NCAA Division I All-American, by placing sixth in the University division of the NCAA tournament. Controversies Some sports experts argue that a double championship could be detrimental to the divisions that the champion competes in.
