René Orta Salgado
René Orta Salgado (c. 1969 – May 13, 2012) was former Mexican journalist, lawyer, and political activist for the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He was killed in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, during an election season in 2012, but the murder could have been linked to his past in journalism and the Mexican Drug War. Personal Renee Orta Salgado, 43, killed on May 13, 2012. He had two children with his first wife and a girlfriend. Career René Orta Salgado was a former reporter with around 20 years of experience in journalism who had first worked for Periódico Opción and then for the ''El Sol de Cuernavaca'', a Mario Vazquez Rana owned-newspaper. While working as a reporter, he was able to earn his law degree. Cuernavaca
Cuernavaca (; , "near the woods" , Otomi language, Otomi: ) is the capital and largest city of the Mexican state, state of Morelos in Mexico. Along with Chalcatzingo, it is likely one of the origins of the Mesoamerica, Mesoamerican civilization. Olmec works of art, currently displayed in the Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City were found in the Gualupita III archeological site. The city is located south of Mexico City and reached via a 90-minute drive using the Mexican Federal Highway 95D, Federal Highway 95D. The name ''Cuernavaca'' is a phonaesthetics, euphonism derived from the Nahuatl toponym and means 'surrounded by or close to trees'. Morelos (state)
Morelos, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Morelos, is a landlocked state located in south-central Mexico. It is one of the 32 states which comprise the Federal Entities of Mexico. It is divided into 36 municipalities and its capital city is Cuernavaca. Morelos is bordered by Mexico City to the north, and by the states of México to the northeast and northwest, Puebla to the east and Guerrero to the southwest. Morelos is the second-smallest state in the nation, just after Tlaxcala. It was part of a very large province, the State of Mexico, until 1869 when Benito Juárez decreed that its territory would be separated and named in honor of José María Morelos y Pavón, who defended the city of Cuautla from royalist forces during the Mexican War of Independence.
