Per Håkan Gessle (; born 12 January 1959) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and guitarist. He is best known as the male half and primary songwriter of the pop rock duo Roxette, which he formed with Marie Fredriksson in 1986 and which was disbanded after her death in 2019. The duo achieved international success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their albums '' Look Sharp!'' (1988) and '' Joyride'' (1991), and topped the charts in the US four times, most notably with " It Must Have Been Love" which was featured in the film ''Pretty Woman''. Prior to the formation of Roxette, he had a successful career in his native Sweden as the frontman for Gyllene Tider. ''Mazarin'' is the fourth studio album by Swedish pop musician Per Gessle, released on 16 June 2003. Per Gessle thought of this album as his little side project from Roxette, but it turned out to be a huge success, subsequently being certified 5× platinum status in Sweden. He also played some of the songs from it on the Gyllene Tider's ''Finn 5 fel!'' tour in 2004, despite the fact that they were not Gyllene Tider songs. Clarence Öfwerman (born 22 November 1957) is a Swedish record producer and musician, best known as the longtime producer of Roxette, having been with the band from their debut album, ''Pearls of Passion'', in 1986, through to 2016's '' Good Karma'', their last studio album. He coproduced ''Pop-Up Dynamo!'', an album issued in 2022 by Per Gessle under the name PG Roxette. Carl Christoffer Lundquist (born 16 January 1970) is a Sweden, Swedish musician and producer. He was once in the band Brainpool (band), Brainpool, where he started as a bass player and backing vocalist, but moved to play both the bass and the guitar. Brainpool won a Grammis, Swedish Grammy in 1994 (best new band). He has also produced albums by Roxette, Per Gessle and Gyllene Tider and played bass and backing vocals in Roxette and participated in Gessle's solo projects.
