Pune–Secunderabad Shatabdi Express
The 12025 / 12026 Pune–Secunderabad ''Shatabdi Express'' is a train operated by the Central Railway which is running between Pune Junction in Maharashtra and Secunderabad in Telangana. The train commenced service on 13 November 2011. The train runs at an average speed of 70.58 km/h and was the fastest diesel hauled shatabdi train on IR and also the fastest train connecting these two cities. The train travels from Pune Junction to Secunderabad in 8 hours and 30 mins as 12025 Shatabdi Express (70.23 km/h) and 8 hours 25 mins as 12026 Shatabdi Express. Now since the whole route is electrified, it runs with electric locomotive end to end. Traction Both trains are hauled by a Lallaguda Loco Shed based WAP-7 electric locomotive end to end. Shatabdi Express () are a series of fast passenger trains operated by Indian Railways. Shatabdi Express are day trains and mostly return to their origin station the same day. The trains run at a maximum permissible speed of depending on the infrastructures of parts of routes with the Rani Kamalapati–New Delhi Shatabdi Express achieving the maximum permissible speed of between Tughlakabad and Bilochpura Agra. LHB Coach
Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coach is a passenger coach of Indian Railways that is developed by Linke-Hofmann-Busch of Germany and produced by rail coach manufacturing units at Kapurthala, Chennai and Raebareli. They have been used since 2000 on the broad gauge network of Indian railways. Initially, 24 air-conditioned coaches were imported from Germany for use in the Shatabdi express following which, the Rail Coach Factory started manufacturing after technology transfer. The Indian locomotive class WAP-7 is a class of 25 kV AC electric locomotives that was developed in 1999 by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) for Indian Railways. The model name stands for broad gauge (W), AC Current (A), Passenger traffic (P) locomotive, 7th generation (7). They entered service in 2000.
