Devoll District
Devoll District() was one of the thirty-six districts of Albania (which were dissolved in 2000) that is now part of Korçë County. It derives its name from the Devoll river flowing through the valley. It had a population of 33,785, and an area of 429 km². It is in the southeastern corner of the country, and its capital is Bilisht. Its busy border point Kapshticë/Krystallopigi connects the district with the Greek regional units of Florina and Kastoria to the east and southeast. Devoll borders the district of Kolonjë to the southwest and Korçë to the west and north. Devoll is also considered a traditional or "ethnographic" region with borders similar to the former district. Ali Progri (October 10, 1929 - March 24, 2009) was an Albanian engineer. He was a participant in World War II and afterwards was graduated in Kiev, Ukraine (then part of Soviet Union). He had a remarkable career and held various high-ranking positions during his lifetime. Ali Progri was awarded the distinguished title ''Merited Teacher of Albania''. Progonat is a village in the former Kurvelesh municipality, Gjirokastër County, Albania. It is the largest village of upper Kurvelesh and until 1992 was the administrative center of the commune. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality Tepelenë. Name Its name contains the Albanian suffix -at, widely used to form toponyms from personal names and surnames. Pustec (; ) formerly known as Liqenas (1973–2013), is a village in Pustec Municipality, Korçë County, eastern Albania. Situated on the southwestern shore of Lake Prespa, it is home to much of the Macedonian minority in Albania.
