The 2017 Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference was the third conference of the Premier Volleyball League and the 2017 season. Premier Volleyball League
The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is the top-level professional women's volleyball league in the Philippines organized by the Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The PVL was established in 2004 as the inter-collegiate Shakey's V-League (SVL) until it rebranded to the current entity in 2017. Prior to becoming a full-fledged professional league in 2021, the PVL was open to participation of corporate owned semi-professional clubs and non-collegiate teams backed by local governments. The PVL previously operated men's and collegiate divisions before they were spun-off into Spikers' Turf and the V-League (Philippines), V-League, respectively, both are also operated by Sports Vision. Christine Joy Soyud (born December 27, 1995) is a Filipino volleyball player. She is currently playing as an Opposite Hitter for the Akari Chargers in the Premier Volleyball League, PVL. Career UAAP Soyud made her first game appearance with De La Salle Lady Spikers volleyball, De La Salle Lady Spikers in the UAAP Season 77 volleyball tournaments, UAAP Season 78. , commonly known as Jaja Santiago, is a Philippine-born Japanese volleyball player who plays for JT Marvelous of Japan's V.League. Career College Santiago, then an incoming freshman student entering the National University (NU) in Manila, received an offer to try out for the University of California-Los Angeles' women's volleyball team in 2013. She declined as she was hesitant to be away from her family back in the Philippines. Jerry Yee (born April 14, 1974) is a Filipino volleyball coach who is the head coach of the Zus Coffee Thunderbelles of the Premier Volleyball League, the UE Lady Red Warriors of the UAAP, and the Benilde Lady Blazers of the NCAA. Roger Gorayeb is a Filipino volleyball coach and former college player who is the head coach of the San Sebastian Lady Stags of NCAA Philippines and a team consultant for the Capital1 Solar Spikers of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). Gorayeb has been the head coach of San Sebastian since the 1980s and has helped lead San Sebastian to numerous volleyball titles. The San Sebastian Lady Stags is the women's collegiate volleyball teams of San Sebastian College-Recoletos. They compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
