Tots Carlos
Diana Mae "Tots" Carlos (born July 7, 1998) is a Filipino volleyball player who currently plays for the Creamline Cool Smashers. She was playing with UP Lady Fighting Maroons of the University of the Philippines-Diliman, and a member of both the indoor and beach volleyball collegiate varsity teams of the university. She bagged the back-to-back Most Valuable Player and Best Opposite Spiker in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference and 2022 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference. She is also part of the Philippines women's national volleyball team that competed in the 2022 Asian Women's Volleyball Cup. Personal life Carlos originates from Lubao, Pampanga. She identifies as a member of the LGBT community and was formerly in a relationship with then- FEU Lady Tamaraws and Creamline player Celine Domingo. The UP Fighting Maroons women's volleyball program is the women's collegiate varsity volleyball team of the University of the Philippines. UAAP
The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), established in 1938, is an athletic association of eight Metro Manila universities in the Philippines. The eight-member schools are Adamson University (AdU), Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University (DLSU), Far Eastern University (FEU), National University (Philippines), National University (NU), University of the East (UE), University of the Philippines Diliman (UP), and the University of Santo Tomas (UST). 2018 PSL Collegiate Grand Slam Conference
The 2018 PSL Collegiate Grand Slam Conference was the fifth conference and fourth indoor tournament for the Philippine Super Liga's 2018 PSL season, sixth season. The games began on November 3, 2018 at the Ynares Sports Arena, Pasig. The conference coincided with the 2018 PSL All-Filipino Conference, 2018 All-Filipino Conference and utilized a round robin system during the preliminary round with the top four teams advancing to the next round. The losers of the semifinal round competed for the bronze medal while the winners advance to the championship round. The champion will go to a training camp in Thailand. Ayel Estrañero
Maria Arielle Estrañero is a Filipino volleyball athlete player. She is a former player of the UP Lady Fighting Maroons in the UAAP in both indoor and beach volleyball. Career Estrañero studied her secondary education at University of St. La Salle in Bacolod. She was one of the players who represented Western Visayas in the Palarong Pambansa 2014 where she won the Best Attacker award. She attended the University of the Philippines - Diliman taking up Communication Research. She played multiple positions for the UP Lady Fighting Maroons as a converted setter, converted libero, and as an attacker. Together with her teammate, Tots Carlos, they won the bronze medal in the UAAP Season 80 Beach Volleyball Tournament. Premier Volleyball League
The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is the top-level professional women's volleyball league in the Philippines organized by the Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The PVL was established in 2004 as the inter-collegiate Shakey's V-League (SVL) until it rebranded to the current entity in 2017. Prior to becoming a full-fledged professional league in 2021, the PVL was open to participation of corporate owned semi-professional clubs and non-collegiate teams backed by local governments. The PVL previously operated men's and collegiate divisions before they were spun-off into Spikers' Turf and the V-League (Philippines), V-League, respectively, both are also operated by Sports Vision. Premier Volleyball League 1st Season Reinforced Open Conference
The 2017 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference was the first conference of the Premier Volleyball League and the 2017 season. The conference started on April 30, 2017 and concluded on June 13, 2017. All elimination round games were played at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan while the semifinals and Finals games were held at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig. The women's tournament was supposed to feature the use of foreign reinforcements, however, they were initially unable to play due to difficulty in securing their international transfer certificates (ITC) from the FIVB. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. Shakey's V-League
The Shakey's V-League was a non-professional volleyball league in the Philippines established in 2004. It began as a women's collegiate league with teams coming from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc., Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation (CESAFI), among others. UAAP Season 78 was the 2015–2016 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). It opened on September 5, 2015, almost two months after the usual July opening of the league during previous seasons, due to the shift in the academic calendars of four member universities, i.e. Ateneo, La Salle, UP and UST. The UP Fighting Maroons are the collegiate varsity teams of the University of the Philippines Diliman. The teams play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the Philippines' premier college sports league.
