The Poznań University of Economics and Business is a business school in Poland. The Poznań University of Economics and Business (PUEB) is an academic institution in the western part of the country attracting students from many parts of Poland. It is the biggest and oldest business university in the region of Wielkopolska. The main campus of the university is located in Poznań, but the university offers its courses also in seven other locations (colleges of higher education) situated within a distance of 30–100 km from Poznań (Bydgoszcz, Kalisz, Konin, Piła, Leszno, Zielona Góra, Szamotuły). History The university's origin goes back to 1926, when the Foundation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry founded the College of Commerce. As a private school, it had no authority to grant degrees. The school was given the authority in 1938 and, in the same year, was named the Academy of Commerce. Karolina Monika Pawliczak (born 25 June 1976) is a Polish lawyer and left wing politician. She was elected to the Sejm (9th term) representing the constituency of Kalisz in October 2019. She took her oath of office in November 2019. Biography Early years Pawliczak was born in the village of Godziesze Wielkie, in Kalisz County, Poland. She attended the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Law, Law - Master (2000), the University of Łódź, Management of Local Government Units (2001) - postgraduate studies, and the Poznań University of Economics and Business, Real Estate Management (2006) - postgraduate studies. Killion Munyama
Killion Munzele Munyama (born 10 July 1961) is a Polish economist, academic lecturer and politician of the Civic Platform (PO) who served as a member of the Polish Parliament from 2011 until 2021. Early life and education Munyama was born in Monze, Zambia. Later his family moved to Mumbwa and then to Mkushi where Munyama grew up on a farm. He came to Poland on a scholarship in 1981 to study International Finance. Munyama has stated that initially he planned on returning to Zambia after graduation, as he saw no opportunities for academics in communist Poland. However, after the fall of Communism in Poland, he changed his mind as he saw an opportunity for improvement and a "chance to rid (the country) of the grey reality of communism".
