Sejm
The Sejm (), officially known as the Sejm of the Republic of Poland (), is the lower house of the bicameralism, bicameral parliament of Poland. The Sejm has been the highest governing body of the Third Polish Republic since the Polish People's Republic, transition of government in 1989. Along with the upper house of parliament, the Senate of Poland, Senate, it forms the national legislature in Poland known as Parliament of Poland#National Assembly, National Assembly (). The General Sejm (, also translated as the General Parliament) was the parliament of the Kingdom of Poland (1385–1569), Kingdom of Poland. It had evolved from the earlier institution of ''Curia Regis'' (King's Council) and was one of the primary elements of democratic governance in the Polish dominion. Initially established in 1386, it officially functioned as a bicameral Diet (assembly), diet since the formation of the Senate of Poland, Senate in 1493. Włodzimierz Czarzasty (born 3 May 1960) is a Polish politician who serves as the co-chairperson of the New Left (Poland), New Left party (). He has been serving as a Deputy Marshal of the Sejm since 12 November 2019. Piotr Zgorzelski (born 17 September 1963) is a Polish politician and teacher, who served as the starosta of Płock County from 2010 to 2011. Polish People's Party
The Polish People's Party (, PSL) is a conservative political party in Poland. It is currently led by Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. Its history traces back to 1895, when it held the name People's Party, although its name was changed to the present one in 1903.
