Planet Nowhere
''Planet Nowhere'' is the fifth album by English rock band Razorlight, released on 25 October 2024 through V2 Records. It is the first album for 16 years featuring the band's 'classic' line-up of lead vocalist Johnny Borrell, guitarist Björn Ågren, bassist Carl Dalemo, and drummer Andy Burrows. Background In April 2021, the band announced the return of the original lineup, featuring Borrell and Ågren (who rejoined in 2019) along with Burrows and Dalemo. The newly reunited group announced a livestreamed concert to be held on 2 June 2021. Razorlight released new songs in 2022—a single, "Call Me Junior", and two songs on a best-of compilation, "You Are Entering the Human Heart" and "Violence Forever?", but Borrell revealed he thought about ending the band if they hadn't been able to make further new music. Razorlight
Razorlight are an English indie rock band, formed in 2002 in London by lead singer and guitarist Johnny Borrell. Along with Borrell, the current line-up of the band is composed of founding members Björn Ågren on guitar and bassist Carl Dalemo, as well as drummer Andy Burrows. This lineup is a reunion of the lineup from the band's second and third albums. The band have gone through several line-up changes, with Borrell remaining the sole permanent member. They released three studio albums before splitting up in 2014. The band reformed in 2017 and released the album '' Olympus Sleeping'' in 2018. V2 Records (or V2 Music and V2 Benelux; V2 being an abbreviation for Virgin 2) is a record label that was purchased by Universal Music Group in 2007, sold to PIAS in 2013 and partially acquired by Universal in 2022 (as part of larger PIAS 49% equity acquisition). Johnny Borrell
Jonathan Edward Borrell (born 4 April 1980) is an English guitarist and singer, currently the frontman of the rock band Razorlight, of which he is the only consistent original member. Early life and career Borrell was born in Sutton, London. His father, New Zealand-born John Borrell, was a war correspondent; his mother was a primary school teacher in Tottenham. His parents divorced when he was young. Borrell lived at Highgate, where he attended Highgate School. He moved to Camden School for Girls for sixth form. Borrell was involved in music and the Camden scene while still at school. At 17 he played bass guitar in a band called Violet alongside Paul Rose, aka dubstep pioneer Scuba (musician), who regularly played gigs on the Camden circuit. Youth (musician)
Martin Glover (born 27 December 1960), better known by his stage name Youth, is a British musician and record producer, best known as a founding member and bassist of the rock band Killing Joke. He is also a member of the Fireman, along with Paul McCartney. Early career Martin Glover was born on 27 December 1960 in Slough, at that point part of Buckinghamshire, England. It marked the first Razorlight album for a decade and four years after Johnny Borrell disbanded the group. Andy Burrows
Andrew William Burrows (born 30 June 1979) is an English songwriter and musician. He is best known as the drummer for Razorlight from 2004 until 2009 before rejoining in 2021. He has also served as the drummer for We Are Scientists from 2009 to 2014. After he left Razorlight in 2009, Burrows went on to enjoy success as a solo artist and a soundtrack composer.
