Pfäffikon ZH () is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Zurich (ZH) and municipality of Pfäffikon. The station is located on the Effretikon to Hinwil railway line. Services Pfäffikon ZH is an intermediate stop on Zurich S-Bahn service S3. During peak periods it also serves as the eastern terminus of S-Bahn service S19. Effretikon–Hinwil Railway Line
The Effretikon to Hinwil railway line, also known as the ''Kempttalbahn'', is a railway line in the Switzerland, Swiss canton of Zurich. It runs from , where it diverges from the Zürich–Winterthur railway line, Zurich to Winterthur line, to , where it connects with the Wallisellen–Uster–Rapperswil railway line, Wallisellen to Rapperswil line, and . Zurich S-Bahn
The Zurich S-Bahn () system is a network of rail lines that has been incrementally expanded to cover the ZVV area, which comprises the entire canton of Zurich and portions of neighbouring cantons (Aargau, Glarus, Schaffhausen, Schwyz, St. Gallen, Thurgau and Zug), with a few lines extending into or crossing the territory of southern Germany. The Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), is the largest public transportation network in Switzerland. It covers the canton of Zurich and adjacent areas. All modes of public transportation (rail, light rail, bus, trolleybus, lake passenger liner, funicular, an aerial tram) within a chosen number of fare zones can be used freely with a ticket that is valid for a certain amount of time (e.g., 1 hour, 24 hours) or with monthly/annual subscriptions.
