Petre Bădeanțu
Petre Bădeanțu (12 March 1929 – 12 January 1993) was a Romanian footballer who played as a striker. Club career Petre Bădeanțu was born on 12 March 1929 in Timișoara, Romania, growing up and starting to play football as a child in the Mehala neighborhood. His talent was noticed by Iova Popovici who brought him to Locomotiva Timișoara in 1943. He made his Divizia A debut on 25 August 1946, aged 17 in Locomotiva's 4–3 away victory over Juventus București, scoring 16 goals until the end of the season which helped the team finish on the third place. In the following season he scored a personal record of 22 goals which made him the third goalscorer of the league, after Ladislau Bonyhádi (49) and Bazil Marian (32), the team finishing on the second place and also reached the 1948 Cupa României final where coach Balázs Hoksary used Bădeanțu all the minutes in the eventual 3–2 loss in front of ITA Arad. Colea Vâlcov
Nicolae 'Colea' Vâlcov (23 February 1909 – 31 March 1970) was a Romanian football player and manager. Vâlcov was born in Bolgrad, Russian Empire. He was part of the famous offensive line of Venus București in the 1930s, together with his brothers, Petea and Volodea. He was arguably the most talented of the three, with a great header (his most feared weapon) and good anticipation in front of the goal. The three brothers, originally Bulgarians from Moldova, are included in the list of the greatest football players in the history of club football Venus București. Two of his brothers had final tragics. First, Petea died on the front in 1943 World War II, on the eastern front, fighting the Soviets, And almost over a decade, Volodea died of tuberculosis. The 1948 Balkan Cup, officially called the Balkan and Central European Championship, was played between April and November 1948 between Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Poland and Czechoslovakia. 1951 Cupa României Final
The 1951 Cupa României Final was the 14th final of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. It was disputed between CCA București and Flacăra Mediaș, and was won by CCA București after a game with four goals. It was the third cup title in the history of CCA București. Flacăra Mediaș was the second club representing Divizia B which reached the Romanian Cup final, after CAM Timișoara which accomplished this in 1938. CS Gaz Metan Mediaș
Clubul Sportiv Gaz Metan Mediaș (), commonly known as Gaz Metan Mediaș or simply as Gaz Metan, was a Romanian professional football club based in Mediaș, Sibiu County. Founded in 1945 as ''Karres Mediaș'', the team spent most of its existence in the second division. It also participated in 16 seasons of the Liga I, the highest level of the Romanian league system, and lost a Cupa României final to CCA București in 1951. Gaz Metan registered its debut in European competitions in the 2011–12 campaign, when it defeated KuPS and Mainz 05 prior to being eliminated by Austria Wien in the UEFA Europa League play-off round. Gheorghe Popescu (footballer, Born 1919)
Gheorghe Popescu (8 August 1919 – 1 January 2001) was a Romanian footballer and also a manager. He played as a striker. Club career Gheorghe Popescu was born on 8 August 1919 in Bucharest, Romania, starting to play junior level football in 1928 at Gloria. He started his senior career in 1935 at Divizia B club, Sportul Studențesc București where he worked with coach Coloman Braun-Bogdan, helping the team earn promotion to the first league at the end of the 1936–37 season. He made his Divizia A debut on 12 September 1937 in Sportul's 3–0 away loss in front of Gloria Arad. The highlights of his period spent with ''The Students'' were reaching the 1939 Cupa României final in which he played all the minutes in the 2–0 loss in front of Rapid București and a third place in the league at the end of the 1939–40 season in which he scored a personal record of 14 goals.
