1951 Cupa României Final
The 1951 Cupa României Final was the 14th final of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. It was disputed between CCA București and Flacăra Mediaș, and was won by CCA București after a game with four goals. It was the third cup title in the history of CCA București. Flacăra Mediaș was the second club representing Divizia B which reached the Romanian Cup final, after CAM Timișoara which accomplished this in 1938. 1951 Cupa României
The 1951 Cupa României is the 14th edition of Romania's most prestigious Association football, football Single-elimination tournament, cup competition. The title was won by FC Steaua București, CCA București against CS Gaz Metan Mediaș, Flacăra Mediaş. Format The competition is an annual Single-elimination tournament, knockout tournament. In the first round proper, two pots were made, first pot with Divizia A teams and other teams till 16 and the second pot with the rest of teams qualified in this phase. First pot teams will play Road (sports), away. Each tie is played as a single leg. If a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes in Overtime (sports), extra time, and if the scored is still tight after 120 minutes, the team who plays Road (sports), away will qualify. Vasile Zavoda
Vasile Zavoda, known as Zavoda II or Tigrul Akbar (26 July 1929 – 14 July 2014), was a Romanian football player and manager. A defender, he played 20 matches for Romania between 1951 and 1962, including one at the 1952 Olympics. Domestically he competed through 1964 in the Divizia A, accumulating 257 games. After retiring from competition he worked as an assistant coach for Steaua București in 1977–81. Overview Zavoda played for Metalul Baia Mare between 1947 and 1951, before joining Steaua București. In 1964, aged 35, Zavoda played his last season, for ASA Târgu Mureş. Zavoda played 257 games in Romania's Divizia A and scored two goals. He also won 20 caps for Romania, the first in 1951 against Czechoslovakia, the last one in 1962 against East Germany. He played for Romania at the 1952 Summer Olympics. An ion () is an atom or molecule with a net electrical charge. The charge of an electron is considered to be negative by convention and this charge is equal and opposite to the charge of a proton, which is considered to be positive by convention. Victor Dumitrescu
Victor Dumitrescu (25 September 1924 – 15 March 1997) was a Romanian footballer who played as left back. Dumitrescu began his football career at the age of 10, in the neighbour city of Deva. He played ten years for Corvinul Deva, beginning as a youth and finishing as a senior. In 1946, he moved to Sebeş, playing well for Surianul, and after two years he signed with Flacăra Mediaş. After three years in Mediaş, Dumitrescu joined Steaua București. He played eight years for his side, being a part of Steaua's Golden Team of the 1950s. He is the single player of the Golden Team who had never played for Romania national football team. Gheorghe Popescu I
Gheorghe Popescu (8 August 1919 – 1 January 2001) was a Romanian footballer and also a manager. He played as a striker. Club career Gheorghe Popescu was born on 8 August 1919 in Bucharest, Romania, starting to play junior level football in 1928 at Gloria. He started his senior career in 1935 at Divizia B club, Sportul Studențesc București where he worked with coach Coloman Braun-Bogdan, helping the team earn promotion to the first league at the end of the 1936–37 season. He made his Divizia A debut on 12 September 1937 in Sportul's 3–0 away loss in front of Gloria Arad.
