Petr Gandalovič
Petr Gandalovič (born 15 August 1964) is a Czech politician and one of the founding members of the Civic Democratic Party. He served as the Czech Ambassador to the United States from 2011 to 2017. Education Gandalovič attended secondary school in Ústí nad Labem from 1978 to 1982, continuing on to the School of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague from 1982 to 1987. He subsequently taught in a secondary school in Ústí nad Labem until 1990. Political career In 1989, Gandalovič was a founder member of the Civic Forum, and was elected as a Member of the Federal Assembly in 1990. The following year he was one of the founders of the breakaway Civic Democratic Party. In 1992 he was appointed Deputy Minister of Environment, and in 1994 he became an adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Civic Forum
The Civic Forum (, OF) was a political movement in the Czech part of Czechoslovakia, established during the Velvet Revolution in 1989. The corresponding movement in Slovakia was called Public Against Violence ( – VPN). The Civic Forum's purpose was to unify the dissident forces in Czechoslovakia and to overthrow the Communist regime. In this, they succeeded when the Communists gave up power in November 1989 after only 10 days of protests. Playwright Václav Havel, its leader and founder, was elected president on 29 December 1989. Although the Forum did not have a clear political strategy beyond the June 1990 elections, it campaigned successfully in March and April 1990 during the first free elections in Czechoslovakia since 1946. Those elections garnered Civic Forum 36 percent of the vote, the highest that a Czechoslovak party ever obtained in a free election. Czech Radio
Czech Radio (, ČRo) is the public radio broadcaster of the Czech Republic operating continuously since 1923. It is the oldest national radio broadcaster in continental Europe and the second-oldest in Europe after the BBC. Czech Radio was established in 1992 by the Czech Radio Act, which sets out the framework for its operation and finance. It acts as the successor to the previous state-owned Czechoslovak Radio which ceased to exist by 1992. The service broadcasts throughout the Czech Republic nationally and locally. Petr Nečas
Petr Nečas (; born 19 November 1964) is a Czech former politician who served as the prime minister of the Czech Republic and leader of the Civic Democratic Party from 2010 to 2013, and as Member of the Chamber of Deputies (MP) from 1993 to 2013. Born in Uherské Hradiště, Nečas earned a doctor of natural sciences degree in physics at Masaryk University in Brno. In 1991, he was one of the co-founders of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS). Becoming an MP in 1993, he served as a member of the Foreign Committee of the Chamber of Deputies and three years later he became Chairman of the Committee on Security. Petr Bendl (born 24 January 1966) is a Czech politician, who served as Minister of Agriculture from October 2011 to July 2013 in Cabinet of Prime Minister Petr Nečas and briefly as Minister of Transport under leadership of Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek. Bendl is a former governor of the Central Bohemian Region after serving two terms. He was Member of the Chamber of Deputies (MP) between 2010 and 2017.
