Petar I Petrović-Njegoš
Petar I Petrović-Njegoš (; 1748 – 31 October 1830) was the Prince-Bishop of Montenegro from 1784 to 1830 and Exarch (legate) of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro. He was the most popular spiritual and military leader from the Petrović dynasty. During his long rule, Petar strengthened the state by uniting the often quarreling tribes, consolidating his control over Montenegrin lands, introducing the first laws in Montenegro in 1798. His rule prepared Montenegro for the subsequent introduction of modern institutions of the state: taxes, schools and larger commercial enterprises. He was canonized by the Serbian Orthodox Church as Saint Peter of Cetinje (). Petar II Petrović-Njegoš ( sr-cyrl, Петар II Петровић-Његош, ;  – ), commonly referred to simply as Njegoš (), was a List of rulers of Montenegro, Prince-Bishop (''vladika'') of Montenegro, poet and philosopher whose works are widely considered some of the most important in Montenegrin and Serbian literature. Njegoš was born in the village of Njeguši, near Montenegro's then-capital Cetinje. Petar Petrović (born 15 September 1995) is a Swedish footballer who plays as a left midfielder for Serbian Superliga club Radnički Niš. Early life Petrović was born in Malmö, and is of Serb ethnic descent. His origin is from Niš. Career Club career On 30 November 2012 Petrović signed a first team contract on a youth basis with Malmö FF. Petar Petrović ( sr-Cyrl, Петар Петровић; born 2 October 1951) is a Serbian politician. He served in the Serbian parliament for most of the period from 2001 to 2020, originally as a member of the Party of Serbian Unity (SSJ) and later with United Serbia (JS). Petrović has also held high office at the city level in Jagodina. Early life and career Petrović was born to family of farmers in the village of Loćika in the municipality of Rekovac, in what was then the People's Republic of Serbia in the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia. Petar Petrović ( sr-Cyrl, Петар Петровић; born 5 May 1955) is a Serbian journalist and politician. He was a member of the Serbian parliament from 1991 to 1993 and a deputy speaker of the Novi Sad city assembly from 2000 to 2004. Petrović was for many years a member of the Union of Reform Forces of Yugoslavia (SRSJ) and the successor Reformist Democratic Party of Vojvodina (RDSV), which was renamed as the Reformists of Vojvodina (RV) in 2000.
