Oleg Sõnajalg
Oleg Sõnajalg (born Oleg Vitjuk; 5 October 1959 – 17 May 2025) was an Estonian businessman. He was known as part of the Sõnajalg family, which also included his brother Andres Sõnajalg and their wives, twin sisters Siiri and Viivi Sõnajalg. He co-founded the TV channel TV1. With his wife Viivi (1962–2021), Sõnajalg raised five children. After his wife's death, he was in a relationship with Catherine Raudvere. They first met in October 2021. Oleg and Catherine became engaged in 2023 on the island of La Gomera. Sõnajalg died on 17 May 2025 in a helicopter crash, near Eura Airfield Eura Airfield is an airfield in Eura, Finland, about south west of Eura centre. It is operated by Kauttuan Ilmailukerho r.y. Estonian SSR
The Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic, (abbreviated Estonian SSR, Soviet Estonia, or simply Estonia ) was an administrative subunit ( union republic) of the former Soviet Union (USSR), covering the occupied and annexed territory of Estonia in 1940–1941 and 1944–1991. The Estonian SSR was nominally established to replace the until then independent Republic of Estonia on 21 July 1940, a month after the 16–17 June 1940 Soviet military invasion and occupation of the country during World War II. Eura
Eura () is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Satakunta region. The municipality has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is . The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The municipality of Kiukainen was consolidated with Eura on 1 January 2009. The municipality is one of the most distinguished places in Finland in terms of pre-historical findings. 2025 Eura Mid-air Collision
This is a list of notable accidents and incidents involving mid-air collisions. In aviation, a mid-air collision is an accident in which two or more aircraft come into unplanned contact during flight. Owing to the relatively high velocities involved and the likelihood of subsequent impact with the ground or sea, very severe damage or the total destruction of at least one of the aircraft usually results. TV1 (Estonian TV Channel)
TV1 was a private Estonian television channel. It included news, current affairs, sports and general entertainment. The channel was founded by AS Eesti Sõltumatu Televisioon (Estonian Independent Television) of the Sõnajalgs in 1997 and was sold to Polsat in 2000. Since Polsat gave excessive amounts of kroons to TV1 to pay its debts, coupled with uncertainties during the Sõnajalg administration, the channel shut down on October 3, 2001.
