Olav Marås
Olav Marås (born 11 April 1931 in Sæbø, Hordaland, Sæbø) is a Norwegian politician for the Norwegian Labour Party, Labour Party. He was elected to the Storting, Norwegian Parliament from Hordaland in 1969, but was not re-elected in 1973. He served as a deputy representative during the terms 1965–1969 and 1973–1977. From 1973 to 1974, during the second cabinet Bratteli, Marås was appointed State Secretary#Norway, State Secretary in the Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Transport. On the local level he was a member of Sæbø, Hordaland, Sæbø municipality council from 1955 to 1963, serving the last four years as deputy mayor. He then became a member of the executive committee of its successor municipality Radøy from 1963 to 1972, and mayor from 1983 to 1990. Storting
The Storting ( ; ) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. Hordaland
Hordaland () was a county in Norway, bordering Sogn og Fjordane, Buskerud, Telemark, and Rogaland counties. Hordaland was the third largest county, after Akershus and Oslo, by population. The county government was the Hordaland County Municipality, which is located in Bergen. Before 1972, the city of Bergen was its own separate county, apart from Hordaland. On 1 January 2020, the county was merged with neighbouring Sogn og Fjordane county, to form the new Vestland county. Radøy is a List of former municipalities of Norway, former municipality in the Nordhordland district of the old Hordaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1964 until its dissolution in 2020 when it was merged into the new municipality of Alver (municipality), Alver in Vestland county. The municipality included almost all of the island of Radøy (island), Radøy plus many small surrounding islands.
