Oh Boy! (1938 Film)
''Oh Boy!'' is a 1938 British comedy film directed by Albert de Courville and starring Albert Burdon, Mary Lawson (actress), Mary Lawson, and Bernard Nedell. It was made at Elstree Studios (Shenley Road), Elstree Studios by Associated British Picture Corporation, ABPC.Wood p.96 The film's sets were designed by the art director John Mead (art director), John Mead. Synopsis Percy Flower, a young chemist, takes his girlfriend to watch his Beefeater father on parade at the Tower of London, but she is stolen away by an assertive, taller man. Percy is then given a secret formula by an eccentric inventor which makes him extremely confident, strong and energetic. However once Percy starts suffering the side effect, which reduces him back to childhood, his father urgently tries to find the Professor again to get the antidote. Albert De Courville
Albert Pierre de Courville (26 March 1887 – 15 March 1960) (born in Croydon, England) was a writer and director of theatrical revues, many of which featured the actress and singer Shirley Kellogg, whom he married in June 1913. Career In about 1907 he began work in London as a journalist with the The Evening News (London newspaper), ''Evening News''. A good reporter, he was soon earning as much as £20 a week, but thought there were more possibilities, and money, in the theatre. He joined forces with London impresario Edward Moss (impresario), Sir Edward Moss and staged revues at the Hippodrome, London, London Hippodrome. In 1914 his revue ''Business as Usual'' featured several patriotic numbers following the outbreak of the First World War including ''"Are we Downhearted?"'' and ''"When We've Wound Up the Watch on the Rhine"''. British Comedy Films

Syd Walker
Syd Walker (born Sydney Kirkman; 22 March 1886 – 13 January 1945) was a British actor and comedian. Born in Salford, Greater Manchester, Salford, Lancashire, he started his career in music halls, both as a solo performer and in double acts. He was also a member of Fred Karno's comedy troupe. After some years performing with Karno, and after losing his Lancashire accent, he became a regular on BBC radio's ''Band Waggon'' (1938–1939) as Mr. Walker, a philosophical rag-and-bone man with the popular catch phrase: "What would you do, chums?" He later had his own show, ''Mr Walker Wants to Know''. He fell ill with appendicitis while playing in pantomime in Croydon, and died in Hove, Sussex, in 1945 at the age of 58. Maire O'Neill (born Mary Agnes Allgood; 11 January 1886 – 2 November 1952) was an Irish actress of stage and film. She holds a place in theatre history as the first actress to interpret the lead character of Pegeen Mike Flaherty in John Millington Synge's controversial masterpiece '' The Playboy of the Western World'' (1907). Edmon Ryan (born Edmon Ryan Mossbarger; June 5, 1905 – August 4, 1984) was an American theater, film, and television actor. Early years A native of Cecilia, Kentucky, he was the son of Isham Edward Mossbarger and Pearl Shelton Mossbarger, and he had a brother. He graduated from Yale University's School of Drama.
