Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub
Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub (Nykøbing Falster Handball Club) is a Danish professional handball club from Nykøbing Falster. In the 2024–25 season, the club competes in the Danish Women's Handball League. They have a local rivalry with København Håndbold. History Nykøbing Falster was promoted to the top league in Denmark, Damehåndboldligaen, for the first time for 2013-14, by winning the 1st Division in 2012-13. In their first season in the top league, they finished 11th, which meant relegation/promotion play-off matches against SK Århus. They would go on to lose, but due to Vejen EH's bankruptcy, the club could stay in the league. In 2014-15 they finished last, but once again they were saved by a team withdrawing; this time by Skive fH. In March 2015 it was announced that the club had signed Kristina Kristiansen from the 2016-17 season. 2016–17 Damehåndboldligaen
The 2016–17 Damehåndboldligaen (known as the ''Primo Tours Ligaen'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 81st season of the Danish Women's Handball League, Damehåndboldligaen, Denmark's premier handball league. Team Esbjerg were the defending champions. Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub won their first title ever, when they beat København Håndbold in the final 27-25. Skanderborg Håndbold were relegated, as they finished last in the regular season. This was the first time in 10 years, that a team from outside Jutland won the title. Stine Eiberg
Stine Eiberg Jørgensen (born 25 November 1998) is a Danish female handball player for Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub and the Danish national team. Her father, Lars Eiberg Jørgensen, and mother, Heidi Holm were also professional handball players, and so is her sister, Maja Eiberg Jørgensen. Career Eiberg started playing handball at the age of 7 at Taastrup Idræts Klub. In 2012 she switched to Ajax København to join the youth team. In 2017 she debuted for the senior team in the Damehåndboldligaen, the top division in Denmark. In 2022 she joined league rivals Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub. Here she reached the finals in the EHF European League in 2023. In February 2025 she extended her contract at the club until the end of the 2025-2026 season. Danish Super Cup (handball)
The Danish Super Cup is a tournament, in the format of a Supercup, played in both women's and men's handball. The tournament is arranged by Divisionsforeningen which also organises the Danish handball leagues. It was held the first time in 2011. In the tournament, the winner of last season's Danish Men's Handball Cup or Danish Women's Handball Cup meets the winner of the Danish Men's Handball League or Danish Women's Handball League.
