Nguyễn Quang Hải (born 12 April 1997) is a Vietnamese professional Association football, footballer who plays as an Midfielder (association football)#Attacking midfielder, attacking midfielder or Midfielder (association football)#Winger, winger for V.League 1 club Cong An Hanoi FC, Công An Hà Nội and the Vietnam national football team, Vietnam national team. Considered one of the best footballers in Southeast Asia, Quang Hải is widely regarded as one of the greatest Vietnamese footballers ever, along with Nguyễn Hồng Sơn and Lê Công Vinh. The ASEAN Championship (formerly known as the AFF Championship or AFF Cup), currently known as the ASEAN Hyundai Cup for sponsorship reasons, is the biennial football tournament organized by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) for men's national teams in Southeast Asia. A biennial international competition, it is contested to determine the sub-continental champion of Southeast Asia. The competition has been held every two years since 1996, scheduled to be in the even-numbered year, except for 2007, and 2020. Nguyễn Hồng Sơn (born Nguyễn Sỹ Sơn, 9 October 1970) is a Vietnamese former football player, who played for the Thể Công football club and the Vietnam national football team as an outside right and second striker. Football at the 2019 SEA Games were held across three venues in the Philippines; the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, Biñan Football Stadium in Biñan, Laguna, and the City of Imus Grandstand, Imus for the men's tournament. The women's tournament was held in Manila and Biñan. Vietnam won gold in both men's and women's tournaments, beating Indonesia and Thailand respectively.
