Nagyhalász Speedway Ring
Nagyhalász Speedway Ring is a motorcycle speedway track, located approximately 1 kilometre west of Nagyhalász on the Rétköz u road. The track is 300 metres in length. Speedway The stadium was opened in 2015 by József Albók. It quickly became a significant venue for motorcycle speedway and was chosen to host important events. It held rounds of the 2017 Speedway European Championship and 2019 Speedway European Championship before being selected for a round of the 2021 Individual Speedway Junior European Championship. The events proved to be a success, which led to a semi-final award of the 2022 European Pairs Speedway Championship, the qualifier for the 2022 Speedway Grand Prix. and the 2022 European Under-19 Individual Speedway Championship final. Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four clockwise, anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of soil, dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). 2017 Speedway European Championship
The 2017 Speedway European Championship season was the fifth season of the Speedway European Championship (SEC) era, and the 17th UEM Individual Speedway European Championship. It was the fifth series under the promotion of One Sport Lts. of Poland. The championship was won by Andžejs Ļebedevs, who claimed the title for the first time. Despite not winning a round, he finished in second place three times, leaving him seven points clear of Russia's Artem Laguta in the final standings. The 2019 Speedway European Championship season was the seventh season of the Speedway European Championship (SEC) era, and the 19th UEM Individual Speedway European Championship. It was the sixth series under the promotion of One Sport Lts. of Poland. The championship was won by Mikkel Michelsen, who beat Grigory Laguta in a run-off after both riders had finished the series tied on 45 points. The 2021 European Individual Speedway Junior Championship was the 24th edition of the Championship. A major change took place before the 2021 Championships in that the age limit was reduced from under 21 years of age to under 19 years of age. 2022 European Pairs Speedway Championship
The 2022 European Pairs Speedway Championship was the 19th edition of the European Pairs Speedway Championship. the final was held in Slangerup, Denmark on 27 August. The second semi final was held at the Mâcon speedway track in Mâcon in France on 23 July, where defending champions France were eliminated, along with Italy and the Netherlands. The first semi final was held at the Nagyhalász Speedway Ring in Nagyhalasz, Hungary 8 July and saw Slovenia, Ukraine, Hungary and Finland eliminated. The title was won by Denmark for the first time. 2022 Speedway Grand Prix Qualification
The 2022 Individual Speedway World Championship Grand Prix Qualification was a series of motorcycle speedway meetings used to determine the three riders that qualified for the 2022 Speedway Grand Prix. The series consisted of four qualifying rounds at Nagyhalász, Goričan, Pozzuolo del Friuli, Terenzano and Glasgow and the Grand Prix Challenge at Žarnovica. The preliminary qualifiers were originally due to take place in late May but were delayed to June with a change in venue with the Piste de Speedway de Lamothe Landerron and Wack Hofmeister Stadium dropping out of hosting a qualifier due to the pandemic. The 2020 Australian Championship, the American Final and the DMU Qualifier were among the pre-qualifying events staged by national federations to determine their nominations.
