''Naal 2'' (English: ''Bond'') is a 2023 Indian Marathi-language drama film written and directed by Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti, and produced by Nagraj Manjule under the banner Aatpat Production and Zee Studios. The second installment in a Naal series, it serves as a sequel to the 66th National Film Awards winner 2018 film ''Naal''. The film stars an ensemble cast of Shrinivas Pokale, Nagraj Manjule, Devika Daftardar, Deepti Devi and Jitendra Joshi. Cast Production In September 2022, Nagraj Manjule announced sequel "Naal 2". On 1 October 2022, principal photography started, teaser released on 9 October 2023. Soundtrack The songs are composed by AV Prafullachandra and the lyrics are penned by Vaibhav Deshmukh. Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti
Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti is an Indian film cinematographer, turned director, screenwriter, and producer known for his works in Hindi, Telugu language, Telugu, and Marathi language, Marathi cinema. In 1999, Reddy made his foray into cinema as an assistant cinematographer under Ajayan Vincent. In 2018 he directed the Marathi feature film ''Naal (film), Naal'', for which he fetched the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director, National Film Award for Best First Film of a Director. Background Reddy was born on 23 March 1976 in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh into a Telugu speaking family.
