Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Madhesh is a political party in Nepal, and a splinter group of the main Madhesi Janadhikar Forum. The split occurred in September 2007, as the MJF vice chairmen Bhagyanath Gupta and Kishor Kumar Bishwash and Ram Kumar Sharma and Jitendra Sonal were expelled from MJF. Gupta became chairman, Sharma general secretary, Bishwash and Sonal vice chairmen of the new party. However, Sonal and Sharma were expelled from the party in December 2007. The party was one of the last parties to be registered with the Election Commission of Nepal ahead of the 2008 Constituent Assembly election. Madheshi Janadhikar Forum (Nepal)
Madheshi people ( ne, मधेशी) is a term used for several groups of people living in the Terai region of Nepal, literally meaning the people of ''Madhesh''. It has also been used as a political pejorative term by the Pahari people of Nepal to refer to non-pahari people with a non-Nepali language as their mother tongue, regardless of their place of birth or residence. The term ''Madheshi'' became a widely recognised name for Nepali citizens with an Indian cultural background only after 1990. Madheshi people comprise various cultural groups such as Hindu caste groups, Muslims, Marwaris, Brahmin and Dalit caste groups, ethnic groups like Maithils, Bhojpuri, Awadhi and Bajjika speaking people and indigenous people of the Terai. Tarai-Madhesh Loktantrik Party
The Terai–Madhesh Loktantrik Party ( ne, तराई-मधेस लोकतान्त्रिक पार्टी (तमलोपा)) is a political party in Nepal. Although the party's primary base is still in Terai Madhesh of Madhesh Province only, it has tried to expand its throughout Terai and Tharuhath regions of Nepal. The party was officially registered at Election Commission on 13 December 2021. Brikhesh Chandra Lal is the chairman of the party and former member of constituent assembly, Bijay Kumar Singh is the senior leader of the party. The Madhesi Jana Adhikar Forum, Nepal (MJFN), or the Madhesi People's Rights Forum, Nepal, was a political party in Nepal. It was initially not a political party as such but a political advocacy movement demanding ethnic self-determination rights with the formation of a Madhes autonomous region for Teraibasi people, an election system based on proportional representation, and the setting-up of a federal republic in Nepal. The MJFN includes former leaders of other political parties like the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML).
