''Musikhjälpen'' (; ) is a Sweden, Swedish Live television, televised benefit performance Radio program, radio show marathon. The annually recurring show is a Charity (practice), charity Fundraising, fundraiser for a chosen cause, the cause is changed each year. Three Radio personality, radio hosts or Celebrity, television personalities are locked inside a glass building (called ''glasburen'', ) for 144 hours (6 days, 24 hours per day). Each presenter acts as a host for eight hours respectively, totaling three shifts per day. It is broadcast in December, during one week, with dates varying each year. The show is broadcast live on the public service radio network Sveriges Radio and on television through Sveriges Television, SVT. Viewers can make song requests by donating money either by using a standalone app or the Swish (payment), Swish service. Serious Request
Serious Request is a family of annual multi-day, multimedia fundraising events for International Red Cross initiatives, typically hosted by radio stations in the week before Christmas. The project was begun in 2004 by Dutch public pop music radio station 3FM. ''Serious Request'' projects have since been adopted in Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Kenya, South Korea, Austria, Latvia and Portugal. The DJs make an interactive, themed broadcast around the clock, while regular programming on the station is suspended except for news bulletins. Instead, 3FM and its website are completely dedicated to the event, which is also transmitted as a continuous audio and video live-stream. Additionally, there is television coverage, integration with social media, and a dedicated mobile app. Funds are raised in a few different ways. Kitty Jutbring
Anna Maria Kitty Skura Jutbring (born 8 April 1977) is a Swedish reality television contestant, radio and television host, singer and DJ. She became known in Sweden after being a housemate on '' Big Brother'' in 2002, and has since become a radio and television host by hosting shows on Sveriges Radio P3 and SVT. Jutbring has hosted shows like ''Musikhjälpen'' on television and ''Christer'' on radio. Career In 1999, Jutbring won '' VeckoRevyn''s competition "Plus Size Model of the Year". A benefit performance is a type of live entertainment which is undertaken for a cause. In its original usage, benefit performances were opportunities for an actor to supplement his/her income. In its modern usage, benefit performances are given to raise money for or awareness of a humanitarian cause, or for the immediate benefit of an audience. As a benefit for performers The concept of a benefit performance originates in England where they were used from at least 1685 to about 1870. During this time, a theater performer would be hired with a contract typically stipulating at least one benefit performance a year. For this event, the actor's employer, the theater company, would offer the ''bénéficiaire'' (as the recipient was termed) 100% (in the case of a "clear" benefit) of the event's proceeds as a bonus pay. SVT2 (SVT Två; commonly referred to as Tvåan), is one of the two main television channels broadcast by Sveriges Television in Sweden. Launched in 1969 by Sveriges Radio, the channel was until the 1990s the most watched in Sweden but now serves as SVT's specialist television network, carrying more highbrow and minority programming compared to the more mainstream SVT1. P3 Din Gata is a Swedish radio station owned by Sveriges Radio and produced in Malmö, Stockholm and Gothenburg. It airs on an FM transmitter over Malmö, but is also available on the Internet. The station has a focus on hip hop music. It launched on 6 March 2006, when it took over a frequency previously occupied by the local channel P2 Musik, with a goal of reaching young women and immigrants. At launch the station used a jingle claiming "Alla talar Skånska" (Everyone speaks Scanian), referring to hosts being from Scania and speaking the local dialect. Until 2021 programming was produced exclusively in Malmö, with this slogan being part of a targeting primarily at residents of Malmö. Sveriges Radio P3 (P3) is a Contemporary hit radio, semi-mainstream CHR/CHR Alternative-formatted station operated by Sweden's national publicly funded radio broadcasting organization Sveriges Radio. The P in P3 originally stood for Program (''Programme'') but today has no official meaning and is simply a name. P3 was officially similar and related to BBC Radio 1.
