Mudhoney Discography
The discography of Mudhoney, a Seattle, Washington-based punk rock, punk/grunge band, consists of eleven studio albums, four compilation albums, five extended plays (EP), one live album, and twenty Single (music), singles. This list does not include material recorded by Mudhoney band members with any other project. Mudhoney was formed in 1988 by vocalist/guitarist Mark Arm and guitarist Steve Turner (guitarist), Steve Turner. The band signed with the Independent record label, independent label Sub Pop and released the ''Superfuzz Bigmuff'' EP in 1988 and their debut album ''Mudhoney (album), Mudhoney'' in 1989. After the release of ''Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge'', in 1991, the band signed with Reprise Records and released its third full-length album ''Piece of Cake (album), Piece Of Cake''. Mudhoney
Mudhoney is an American rock music, rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, on January 1, 1988, following the demise of Green River (band), Green River. Its members are singer and rhythm guitarist Mark Arm, lead guitarist Steve Turner (guitarist), Steve Turner, bassist Guy Maddison and drummer Dan Peters. Original bassist Matt Lukin left the band in 1999, but rejoined the band in December 2000 for a tour that lasted through January 2001. Mudhoney's early releases on the Sub Pop label, particularly their debut single "Touch Me I'm Sick" and the ''Superfuzz Bigmuff'' EP, were instrumental in the creation of the grunge genre. Although the band found little commercial success and remained somewhat 'underground' and non-mainstream, Mudhoney has released eleven studio albums and inspired countless grunge and alternative rock musicians during their long career. Piece Of Cake (album)
''Piece of Cake'' is the third studio album by American rock band Mudhoney. Released in 1992, it was the band's first album for Reprise Records. The album was released at the height of grunge, a genre Mudhoney had helped create. The album peaked at No. 189 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The band supported it with a North American tour that included shows with Eugenius. "Suck You Dry" and "Blinding Sun" were released as singles. Reprise reissued the album in 2003, bundled with the E.P. '' Five Dollar Bob's Mock Cooter Stew'' and the b-sides from the singles. In 2020, ''Piece of Cake'' was included in the 4CD box set ''Real Low Vibe: Reprise Recordings 1992-1998''. Production Recorded at Seattle's Egg Studios, the album was produced by Conrad Uno and the band. The Official Albums Chart is the United Kingdom's industry-recognised national record chart for album, albums. Entries are ranked by sales and audio streaming. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on ''UKChartsPlus'' as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. The Heatseekers charts were "Breaking and Entering" music charts issued weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. ''Vanishing Point'' is the ninth studio album by American rock band Mudhoney. It was released on April 2, 2013 as their sixth studio album release on Sub Pop. Critical reception ''Vanishing Point'' received generally positive reviews from most music critics. At Metacritic, they assign a "weighted average" score out of 100 to reviews and ratings from mainstream critics, and the album received a Metascore of 76, based on 20 reviews. The Lucky Ones (Mudhoney Album)
''The Lucky Ones'' is the eighth studio album by American rock band Mudhoney, released on Sub Pop Records on May 20, 2008. Writing and recording The band has said that the album was written "from the rhythm up instead of from the riff and the lyrics down" and has also stated that it's the quickest album they recorded. As singer and rhythm guitarist Mark Arm has said, "The effect is to thrust out the bottom-end rumble of drummer Dan Peters and bassist Guy Maddison, and to bring about a cohesive whole not entirely ruled by the almighty riff—although you certainly don't have to look hard to find 'em." Rather spontaneously, the veterans recorded the eleven songs found on the record in only three and a half days, including overdubs.
