Mohammed Kaikobad
Mohammed Kaikobad (; born 15 July 1946) is a retired Bangladeshi football player and coach. Early career Kaikobad began his football career after completing his matriculation exams in 1961 by joining the junior team of Kazipara Union Club. The following year, he played in the Brahmanbaria First Division Football League with Kazipara's senior team. In 1963, he participated in the Cumilla First Division Football League with Cumilla East Bengal and represented the Cumilla District in the inter-district football championship under the recommendation of Zahirul Haque. Brahmanbaria District
Brahmanbaria District () is a district in eastern Bangladesh located in the Chittagong Division. Geographically, it is mostly farmland and is topographically part of the Gangetic Plain. It is bounded by the districts of Kishoreganj District, Kishoreganj and Habiganj District, Habiganj to the north, Narsingdi District and Narayanganj District, Narayanganj to the west, Comilla District, Comilla to the south, and the Indian state of Tripura to the east. Zakaria Pintoo
Zakaria Pintoo (; 1 January 1943 – 18 November 2024), alternatively spelled Zakaria Pintu, was a Bangladeshi footballer who played as a defender. He was the first captain of the Bangladesh national team. Pintoo gained fame as the captain of the Shadhin Bangla football team during the Bangladesh Liberation War. Before the country's independence, Pintoo represented both the Pakistan national football team and the East Pakistan football team, captaining the latter on numerous occasions. In club football, Pintoo represented Mohammedan SC, one of the most popular clubs in Bangladesh, for a continuous period of 14 years. Mujibnagar
Mujibnagar (), formerly known as Baidyanathtala (Boiddonathtola) and Bhoborpara, is a town in the Mujibnagar Upazila of Meherpur District in Khulna, Bangladesh. The Provisional Government of Bangladesh was formed on 10 April 1971, however, sworn in on 17 April 1971 in this place by the elected representatives of the Bengalees (mostly belongling to Awami League), that led the Bangladesh Liberation War, who were leading the guerrilla war for the independence of Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) from Pakistan in 1971. Enayetur Rahman
Enayetur Rahman Khan (; born 28 February 1951) is a former Bangladeshi footballer who played as a striker. He holds the record of scoring the Bangladesh national team's first-ever international goal, which came in a 2–2 draw against Thailand during the country's inaugural competitive game in 1973. He scored a total of 90 goals in the First Division during his more than a decade-long career playing domestic football in Dhaka. He was a member of the Shadhin Bangla football team that played exhibition matches across India to raise funds during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. Nowsheruzzaman
AKM Nowsheruzzaman (; 5 December 1950 – 21 September 2020), better known as Nowsher, was a Bangladeshi footballer who played as a striker or left-winger. In 1971, he toured India with the Shadhin Bangla football team in order to raise international awareness about the Bangladesh Liberation War. After liberation, he was also part of the first ever Bangladesh national football team. In 1973, Nowsher scored the only goal in a friendly match against Singapore, securing Bangladesh their inaugural international football victory. Operation Searchlight was a military operation carried out by the Pakistan Army in an effort to curb the Bengali nationalist movement in former East Pakistan in March 1971. Pakistan retrospectively justified the operation on the basis of anti-Bihari violence carried out en masse by the Bengalis earlier that month. East End Club () is a Bangladeshi football club based in the Gendaria, Dhaka. It currently competes in the Dhaka Senior Division League, the third-tier of Bangladeshi football.
