Mittnabotåget
Mittnabotåget was a regional train service connecting Trondheim in Norway with Sundsvall in Sweden. It includes trains operated by Veolia Transport on the Mittlinjen between Sundsvall and Östersund in Sweden, and Vy, Norges Statsbaner’s cross-border Nabotåget services from Östersund on to Trondheim in Norway. The line between Trondheim and Östersund operates using NSB Class 92, BM92 diesel multiple units, with two daily departures each way. The line operated by Veolia in Sweden uses electrical Regina (train), Regina units. In Östersund and Sundsvall, connections are available onwards towards Gävle and Stockholm by local trains and X 2000 expresses. NSB Class 92
Norske tog Class 92 () is a class of 15 diesel multiple units built by Duewag for the Norwegian State Railways (NSB). The two-car trains were delivered in 1984 and 1985, and were put into service on the Røros Line and southern part of the Nordland Line—which later became the Trøndelag Commuter Rail. Later, they also entered service on the Meråker Line as part of the international Mittnabotåget service. Previously, the trains were also used on the Solør Line, further north on the Nordland Line and on the now railway electrification system, electrified Arendal Line. In 2000, a unit was involved in the Åsta accident; which killed 19 people. The trains were refurbished in 2005 and 2006, and NSB plans to replace them by around 2019. Norrtåg
Norrtåg (English: Northern Trains) is a publicly owned company which is owned by Norrbotten County, Västerbotten County, Västernorrland County and Jämtland County in Sweden. The company owns passenger trains and organises passenger train operation. Norrtåg controls ticket sales and contracts an operator which handles actual train operation (staff and permits). The trains are operated under the brand name Norrtåg. Norrtåg started operation in 2010 on the newly opened Botnia line, and in 2011 it took over the until then branded Mittnabotåget services. Trains were operated by Botniatåg (an SJ AB / DB Regio joint venture) until 20 August 2016, when Tågkompaniet (now Vy Tåg) took over operations. SL X60
X60 is a series of Coradia Nordic 6-car articulated electric multiple units operated by Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL) on the Stockholm commuter rail network. They were manufactured by the French manufacturer Alstom at their plant in Salzgitter, Germany between 2005 and 2017, and replaced all older X10 units. Background The original cars for the Stockholm commuter rail service, called X1, were delivered between 1967 and 1975. A batch of new cars, designated X10, were delivered between 1983 and 1993. These two sets of cars made up the backbone of the fleet from 1967 until 2005. X 2000
X 2000, officially designated X2, is an electric high-speed tilting train operated by SJ in Sweden. It has a top commercial speed of 200 km/h (124 mph) and a top design speed of 210 km/h (130 mph) but has achieved a maximum speed of 276 km/h (171 mph) in tests. It primarily serves major routes, including Stockholm–Gothenburg and Stockholm–Malmö–Copenhagen. The X2 project began in 1969 as a collaboration between Kalmar Verkstad, Swedish State Railways (SJ), and ASEA. In 1986, SJ placed an order for 20 sets of a new type of train. Asea was responsible for manufacturing the electrical components, while Kalmar Verkstad (Statsföretag) was responsible for the mechanical design and manufacturing.
