Milaimys Marín
Milaimys de la Caridad Marín Potrille (born 16 March 2001) is a Cuban freestyle wrestler. She won one of the bronze medals in the women's 76kg event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. She won the gold medal in the women's 76kg event at the 2023 Pan American Games held in Santiago, Chile. She won the gold medal in the girls' freestyle 73kg event at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Marín also won the gold medal in the women's 76kg event at the 2021 Junior Pan American Games held in Cali, Colombia. Career In 2019, Marín was eliminated in her first match in the women's freestyle 76kg event at the World Wrestling Championships held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. At the 2019 World U23 Wrestling Championship held in Budapest, Hungary, she won the gold medal in the 72kg event. She defeated Wang Xiaoqian of China in her gold medal match. The 2020 Olympic Wrestling Pan American Qualification Tournament was the first regional qualifying tournament for the 2020 Summer Olympics. 2019 World Wrestling Championships – Women's Freestyle 76 Kg
The women's freestyle 76 kilograms is a competition featured at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships, and was held in Astana, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan on 18 and 19 September. This freestyle wrestling competition consists of a single-elimination tournament, with a repechage used to determine the winner of two bronze medals. The two finalists face off for gold and silver medals.
