Mattia Pasini
Mattia Pasini (born 13 August 1985) is an Italian Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. Career Early career Pasini participated in his first race at the age of 9. In 1998, aged 13, he suffered a serious motocross accident that left him with several broken bones and permanent nerve damage in his right arm. 125cc World Championship After several successful years in the Italian and European championships, he made his 125cc world championship debut in 2004 as the teammate of Roberto Locatelli. He finished his first season in the 15th place overall, and earned the rookie of the year award. His best results were a 3rd place in Qualifying and a 7th place in the Malaysian Grand Prix. The following year Pasini was running in the lead in most of the races and won the Chinese and Catalan Grands Prix. He finished the season in fourth place overall. Riccione
Riccione (; ) is a (municipality) in the Province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. Riccione is centred on the Rio Melo, a minor river that flows into the Adriatic Sea. Casey Stoner
Casey Joel Stoner (born 16 October 1985) is an Australian retired professional motorcycle racer, and a two-time MotoGP World Champion, in and . During his MotoGP career, Stoner raced for the factory teams of Ducati and Honda, winning a title for each team. Born in Southport, Queensland, Stoner raced from a young age and moved to the United Kingdom to pursue a racing career. After first competing internationally in 2002, Stoner became MotoGP World Champion in 2007 for Ducati. One of Stoner's greatest talents was his ability to ride any motorcycle beyond its perceived limits, even winning races on the inferior Ducati after both Honda and Yamaha had forged ahead in development during his later racing years. Mika Kallio
Mika Kallio (born 8 November 1982) is a Finnish Grand Prix motorcycle racer, currently serving as the lead test and development rider for the Red Bull KTM team in MotoGP. He debuted in the 125cc World Championship with the Finnish rookie team Ajo Motorsport in the 2001 German Grand Prix and was awarded the "Rookie of the Year" with the team in 2002. After moving to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team during the 2003 season, he finished runner-up in the 125cc class in both 2005 and 2006, and also finished runner-up in the 2014 Moto2 World Championship. Pramac Racing is a motorcycle racing team competing in the MotoGP World Championship based in Casole d'Elsa, Tuscany, Italy. History d'Antin MotoGP The d'Antin MotoGP Team was created in 1999 by Spanish former motorcycle racer Luis d'Antin and was based in Madrid. Beginning in the team raced in the 250 cc Spanish and World Championships with Yamaha bikes and Spanish riders Fonsi Nieto and David García. The Ducati Desmosedici is a Four-stroke engine, four-stroke V4 engine racing motorcycle made by Ducati for MotoGP racing. The series nomenclature is ''GP'' with the two-digit year appended, such as Desmosedici GP10 for 2010. The 2009 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 61st F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. The season consisted out of 17 races for the MotoGP class and 16 for the 125cc and 250cc classes, beginning with the Qatar motorcycle Grand Prix on 12 April 2009 and ending with the Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix on 8 November. The move was made to try to improve safety by reducing cornering speeds, and in a marginal way for cost reasons; the winner was decided by bid. Héctor Faubel Rojí (born 10 August 1983, in Llíria, Valencia, Spain) is a former professional motorcycle road racer. Faubel has been racing full-time since 2002, always on Aprilia bikes. After finishing 2006 strongly he was considered a favourite for the 2007 125cc title, during which he battled with eventual world champion Gábor Talmácsi. For , he moved up to the 250cc class. However; his 2008 season was a disappointment, as Faubel could do no better than a fourteenth place overall, while teammate Álvaro Bautista was Championship runner-up. Gábor Talmácsi
Gábor Talmácsi (born 28 May 1981 in Budapest, Hungary) is a Hungarian former professional motorcycle racer. He was the 2007 125cc World Champion, and he is the first and only Hungarian to win a road racing World Championship. He has a younger brother, Gergő, who is also a motorcycle racer. Due to a leg injury suffered in 2013, Talmácsi has retired from racing professionally. After retiring from racing, he set up his own team Talmácsi Racing, which competed in the European Superstock 600 Championship and raced with Honda CBR600RRs, until the series folded at the end of 2015. The 2007 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 59th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Season summary The 2007 season was significant as it introduced a new regulation which specifies that competitors in the MotoGP class were allowed use up to 800cc motorcycles; between 2002 and 2006, competitors had been allowed to use 990 cc motorcycles. While the 800cc motorcycles had less power than their 990cc counterparts, their ability to brake later and carry more speed through turns due to their lighter weight (which actually increased their power to weight ratio) allowed them to break lap records in pre-season testing.
